"The sushi was if the best I’ve had in a handful of years. All the hot and cold food was very fresh. I absolutely loved the paradise mango:cucumber/ cream cheese roll. I used skip the dishes and was nervous about having particularly the hot items delivered but everything was great!"

"I don't have unreasonable expectations for restaurants. A general respect and some basic manners is all I expect. I was completed taken aback by the rudeness of one particular waitress. I was in here to pick up take out when the waitress told me that one of my orders isn't in the system. I said "What do you mean it isn't in the system, I paid for it already" She showed me the computer screen quite angrily and said "SEE? its not here" I said "I don't understand, its been paid for already" in which case she responded by huffing towards a stack of take out boxes that were ready and pointed towards it and said "is it this"And she was completely exasperated telling me " YOU have to tell me that its ready and there"I said "I don't know that it's ready"and she was exasperated and said "Just go pay for your order" WTF?? I have to tell her that my take out is ready? I'll never go back there again."

"Excellent restaurant. Great food.. Every visit at Hanano has been a pleasure for the freshness and tastiness of the food as well as the creativity of the chef. We have gone in small and large groups and it has always been great. I can only wish there was a Hanano in Victoria too!<br/ <br/ Very friendly place and they will often surprise you with an extra dish to try at no charge.<br/ <br/ This place and Fuji across the street have each their own style and both deserve frequent visits. I can only wish for similar positive competition for creative and quality sushi here in Victoria."

"Wow! The meal we had here was so delicious because the meat was perfectly marinated. The cuts of the beef, pork, and chicken were also spectacular, very juicy and not one piece was dry, despite my poor BBQ skills.My favourite was actually the seafood pancake. Very crispy and full of quality ingredients. Most places make this a bit soggy or overdone, but toedam did it just right. Highly recommend (I would also like to recommend the glass noodle dish).Best of all, it was my wife's birthday, and they gave us some very special treatment which was unexpected!"

"Nice presentation for food items, but the food quality not as good as the Google reviews mentioned.2 of us had tried...King roll a lot of yam fries top of 8 pieces of fishy prawn tempura sushi with pan seared mushy tuna pieces on top with spicy sauce. Their rolls are falling apart..Lobster roll hardly find lobster and scallops inside the roll, only 1 tiny piece of lobster meat inside the last piece,Mostly salmon sashimi with tobiko on top.. they used same sauce as king roll..Saba Nigiri sushi extremely fishy saba on loose riceBig eye tuna Nigiri sushi it's chewy tuna sashimi top onLoose rice..Prawn tempura worst tempura i ever have before,Their tempura batter are too hard and thick.No wonder just only 1 customer inside, beside us at lunch time on Saturday..It's small and cozy restaurantWith 5 tables.Service was fast and friendly.But won't go there again,Because made us have diarrhea,After an hour...Their plate is broken"
