"Friendly and offering a choice of remarkable products as far as bagels and brioches are concerned. I have a great time going there every time and it is also pleasant to have some shops along Quinpool and not just strings of condos. "We had read about Steve-O-Renos Huevos Rancheros which is a featured item on their online menu and their good reviews on Trip Advisor. So we made a special trip this Sunday to try them. We were told they no longer have them yet it is...still listed online. Their website has not been updated since so the prices are considerably higher, as well. I realize that keeping websites fresh and updated takes some attention but this was disappointing. Coffee and breakfast sandwiches were good but nothing extraordinary. Service was friendly but when it gets busy it can be crowded and uncomfortable."

"My favorite things in Tar Soul are not vegan: their cream cheese, their bagels and their hot chocolate. But they're all vegetarian. The soup of the day is almost always vegan and is delicious without failure. The staff is more than happy to list every single ingredient in every treat so that your nutritional restrictions are taken into account. They are closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday, which is regrettable. But it is understandable as they need the time to literally make everything from scratch. If you are after a cinnamon bunk (not vegan), you will get there early. They sell."

"There 's nothing like a good bagel and cream cheese, but generally I prefer whole grain breads and low-fat spreads. They do have a whole wheat bagel option, although I 've had better whole grain bagels elsewhere. Their regular bagels (yes, tried those too... are very good and baked fresh on location, which of course you can 't beat (especially if you get them hot out of the oven . I was disappointed that they didn 't have any low-fat cream cheese options though..."
