"Food was good, felt like this place has existed for some time, judging by the food. Enjoyed the sizzler and grilled seafood. Staff were friendly and helpful. No cigarette shops nearby so recommend bringing your own. Crème brulee was good too."

"One day i came to know about this restaurant from my family ! As my Dad was interested to visit this place, i went with them for the dinner. Asked for mutton briyani, they said its only for the lunch time. So i settled with chicken kaari dosa and my parents with the parota. So they asked for the side dish and i ordered palipalaayam chicken. I was really disappointed by the kaari dosa, the flavour wasn’t impressive a little. And on the other hand parota’s were good but the chicken and mutton gravy’s weren’t upto the mark/expectation which we can get in kongu region. "Not sure how overall ratings are low but I had amazing time here which led me to visit this place twice in 3 days. First of all, ambiance is very relaxing which helps in easing in. Special mention to the staff who are delight to interact and very courteous. Coming to food, their house bread and dip combination is killing it. Apart from this, we've had Babycorn fingers which was served with balsamic vinegar dip...yum.....Thai red curry with rice, again a marvelous dish and Aubergine Parmigiana....good one. A doctor friend who spent a good few years studying at PIMS suggested this place. Apparently, Spice Box at Hot & Cold Bar & Restaurant was a 'go-to' place for resident docs at Pondy! Well, not just the doctors, of course! <br>

The Hot & Cold Bar and Restaurant setup has 4 options to choose from. A family restaurant, a pub, a cocktail bar and a rooftop garden for parties. We chose Spice Box which is a non-smoking family restaurant as we wanted to dine. <br>

The service wasn't great with delays in order completion. Odd sort of chap who waited our table. Quite a bit of privacy on all tables with enclosures and dim lighting. <br>
There was a 2+1 offer on liquor. <br>

"This review is long overdue! Thali meals that blew us away! Just. Yum. There were 3 different types of Thalis: one better than the other. So rich and so filling. We couldn't help but come back here for lunch the next day. A little pricey but definitely worth it!"

When I refused to pay the service fees, I was annoyed. I was finally refunded. pls check their bill before they pay! I would have given stars if they were more honest."
