"When the sun came out after lunch we took a walk through the beautiful grounds, along the stream and admired the fabulous setting of the manor house and reflected on the really pale and uninteresting Sunday lunch. Even a traditional roast can be made interesting this wasn't. The meat was sliced wafer thin which made it almost impossible to tell the difference between beef and lamb. The flavours were so subtle as to be almost absent.Dull, dull, dull. Having said that, some of the starters were excellent and the wine memorable. Perhaps it is better to visit during the week when an a la carte menu is in place?"
