"We visited for one night on a cycle tour. Thomas was very welcoming and there was a secure storeroom for our bikes. We had a delicious evening meal cooked by Thomas. There was an excellent menu choice at breakfast too and very generous portions. Rooms...were modestly priced and very clean. Would definitely recommend."

"I took my older parents and my two small children in this restaurant during vacation and we were shocked by what happened. to cut a long story short when we pay our bill, the obnoxious owner accused my father and I lie about the age of my sohnes, because under 2’s eat free instead of the 3.99 cost for children over 2 he accused us of lying about the age of my sohnes, quite clear though I had done it. when we then explained the things he said, unless we paid him, he will call the police."

"On Sunday evening we were the first customers in about 2000 hours, although some others had arrived. a lot of space to find a place. the ubiquitous 3 shows showing football were an involuntary supplement to the bar. Strawberry Daiquiri (no crushed ice,) gin and tonikum and a prise morretti, £16.40"

"We went there to spend money on drinks and would have eaten there too. We took our dog and were consigned to the garden, thankfully it was dry. On arrival, all we seemed to receive were dog rules and an initial unhelpful attitude when we asked to turn on the gas heater outside. Our understanding is that the dog policy is driven by a local dog's behaviour. We live in a farming county where pubs that are not dog friendly are shunned by local people."
