"Clip Joint Way overpriced and lousy service I must say the food was very good and much better than expected. The ribeye, filet and burger dinners our family had were delicious. I also need to mention a few upsetting things that occurred during my family's dining experience. The table next to us was a party of six and was seated about 10 minutes after us. They were served drinks and appetizers before we received any service. We ordered sparkling water for the table along with some cocktails. I asked the waitress the cost of a Bourbon Manhattan and she replied by stating the drinks are around $15.00. I had no problem with that. We were served the sparkling water without any glasses. We waited about ten minutes and then had to get up to get our own glasses, as we were thirsty and wanted to enjoy our water while it was still cold. When the bill came we were charged $35.00 for the tiny Manhattan. We were all shocked! When we asked for an explanation our waitress seemed annoyed at the inquiry and said that's the way it is. She knew we were upset, yet she did nothing to make us feel better. We were a table of five and noticed that a 20% tip was automatically added to the bill. We all enjoyed the evening until the $35 drink could not be explained to us. We enjoy dining at some very high end restaurants in the city and have never been charged $35 for an ordinary drink. I called the following day to speak with the owner and was told the owners do not work on Sunday. I left a message asking for one of the owners to return my call, however, nobody called me back. "The atmosphere was interesting but the service was mediocre. The menu was unique but somewhat disappointing. It was very expensive. They sat the wrong dessert next to me, and I tasted it before I realized it wasn't mine. Even though it was their mistake and we informed them, they charged me for it and the dessert I ordered which was nervy considering how much we spent in our large party. While the place is worth seeing, I wouldn't go back or strongly recommend it."
