"We attended for a birthday celebration and had Luigi as our waiter. Before even getting to the meal options, Luigi was quick to give us a local history lesson about the building. Which was very fun to them take note of all the photos on the wall. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and great a attitude of being 'obsessively local '. Food was exceptional. Will attend again."

"My girlfriend and I went here while I was up visiting her. Neither of us can drink alcohol for differing medical reasons, so we came for the food. I have moderate sensory issues, but I would've been fine inside. As it was, we sat at one of the picnic tables. Service was amiable and efficient. You order and pay at the bar inside, then find a table with your drinks. (Unfortunately, they didn't have much non-alcoholic, so we got water. We each got a burger and split an order of fries, which came with some of their excellent house-made ketchup and aoili. We enjoyed all, though my patty had a bit of a hard time staying together. All in all, we recommend this place and intend to go again."

"Met with friends to celebrate birthdays at the Belmont Bistro on a Saturday morning. Arrived just before 9 am and people were already waiting. Saturday brunch is a delight with imaginative dishes to choose - Belmont Benedict, fried chicken & waffles, huevos rancheros just to name a few. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed breakfast along with cups of coffee. Service is attentive and helpful. We have dined many times at the Bistro and appreciate the neighbourhood feel to the place. If you are looking for a different breakfast experience try Belmont Bistro."

"I've been here for a few years, my favorite restaurant in kw! the personal is always fast and friendly. Whether they are looking for pop Chinese cuisine (height balls, fried rice, egg rolls, etc. or authentic traditional dishes, this place is definitely worth a visit. the hot and acidic suppe is a favorite of me and do not forget to taste the dessert menu! I wish they would replace their polystyrene intake containers for a more sustainable, reusable and/or recyclable one. if she did, I would probably order a second meal to take home and enjoy later! Unfortunately, polystyrene is a type of industry standard, so I can't blame them too much for it."

"We have lived in KW for many, many years and for some reason had never heard of Ellison's Bistro. My wife found it by doing a bit of a random Google search and we are so glad we went! Four of us had dinner there....Two had Goat Roti, one had Blackened Catfish and one a vegan pasta dish. The food is all freshly prepared and it was all terrific. My son and I also asked for some hot sauce. To call the sauce hot is like calling Niagara a little rapids : But it was also very flavourful! We all thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food, the quiet atmosphere and the friendly and attentive folks that run the restaurant. The selection of wines was simple but all identically and modestly priced. That kept the focus on the food and was frankly a nice change from paying $50 for a bottle that you could by in the LCBO for $15 : We will be going to Ellison's again! And you should too!"
