"We have been frequent customers at Honba for years. In fact, after each of our children were born at St.Boniface my first request was sushi from Honba! We have never had a problem, service is always reliable, prices decent and sushi great! The size of their rolls are generous too."

"This restaurant is small and hard to notice driving by. We discovered it in the area a year or so back when out for a walk. The establishment is clean, consistent and friendly. Food is fresh and reasonably priced. It is also great take out food. Packaged perfectly."

"The sushi was fabulous (good portions and delicious), but I want to call out a small thing. When we got our sushi (delivery) someone had gone through the effort to label the container lid so that we could easily figure out what each roll was. Such a small detail, but I think it speaks to the care they put into their work."

"We made a long trek to try out Sushi N based only because of the rave reviews we have seen on this nice little place. Not sure what all the reviewers are using as comparisons, but the performance of Sushi N does not approach the extremely high ratings thrown down by previous customers.Located on the corner space of a large shopping mall parking lot provides easy access and more than adequate parking. Big benefit over some urban locations that offer less than acceptable parking opportunities.Decor is quite sparse but speaks to the Japanese style. The background music is very disjointed and rather off putting unless punk/rap is your style. Not sure who is choosing the tunes but it can't be anyone over 14 years old. Service was slim during our visit but this may be enhanced during the dinner hours, at least I hope so because our server was doing an excellent job but the rush was just more than one person could possibly handle effectively. Menus are beautifully done with great discussions about the various food options. Really, really nicely done and even a few tasteful pictures tossed in to build further interest. Enough whining about the unimportant issues; how about the food. Well, there was no recovery based on what we ordered. The seafood options were fine but fine just doesn't make this a local leader in the Sushi category. Nothing was sparkling or differentiated from every other average sushi and sushi-wannabe in this town. We ordered a wide selection of offerings and every one was completely comfortable in the company each other. There was no standouts and, graciously, not losers either. Everything scored average when compared to a dozen other places. The sushi chef is clearly a master and produced orders with great efficiency with each being the work of a professional. So the problem is what? Quality, age, or condition of ingredients? Certainly not the decor, service, professional ability so maybe it was just the music that degraded our experience.The quest continues for Winnipeg's finest sushi. Unfortunately, we now have to be very selective in which food reporters we can trust for our next choice to sample."

"Really disappointed with our experience here last night. I don't know if they were understaffed and or the chef was out sick but extremely disappointing service and food. My husband and I along with a friend ordered plate of nachos to share and we ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings and the dill pickle chicken wings. The chicken wings, especially the dill pickle we're covered in dill pickle popcorn seasoning. They were so dry, they were basically inedible. The nachos were a complete joke, $4 for an ounce of guacamole? Big chunks of chicken that were blackened and tasteless? We waited an hour to get our bill and despite the fact that we had 75% of the nachos still on the plate, we were not asked if we wanted a take out container. Really a shame because it's close to home. Will not be returning."

"Been here twice now, our waitress was wonderful both times!! Food was great and no problems at all.... we will be back! The Tempura was so good, light and crispy! The edamame needed a little more salt but otherwise good all around! Thanks!"
