"I was looking around on Atlas Osbcura for things to see in Vancouver and low-and-behold, a bar popped up! Obviously I had to check it out so decided to swing by for a drink. First off the staff were great. Normally at these trendy try to be dive bars the staff are very indifferent, but here they were fun, loved making all the crazy drinks, and just looked like they were having a good time. The menu was set up well, with a visual system set up so you know how strong which drink is. I wish I could have tried them all! The atmosphere is great of course. Very small and cozy and dark. Only thing missing is some tropical beach just outside the door!Took my girlfriend back the next day after she flew in from Rome and she loved it as well!"

"Decent food with generous portions. The Ginger Beef wasn't dry or stringy, but actually came with tender slices of beef. Sauce was quite sweet but perfect when drizzled with some Szechuan chili oil I had at home.The BBQ pork was quite tender as well.I love that they gave me a whole bag of shrimp chips.I'll definitely order again if I'm craving westernized Chinese food."

"We wanted Chinese food, and we wanted it bad. But we didn't want to randomly choose, so we wandered around Chinatown and watched where locals went. At this restaurant, we saw a whole group of 8 elderly gentleman gathering and decided that was a good sign that the place must have good food - looked like it might be a weekly ritual for them. We were seated and given complimentary tea by the lady at the front, and then we took a long time looking over the vast menu. Kids ended up with sweet and sour pork that they enjoyed, my husband had Shanghai noodles (or Shanghai chow mein, he said), which had awesome thick noodles, and I got dumpling soup and a green onion pancake. We were highly satisfied and spent less than $30 for the four of us."

"This is a small restaurant featuring outstanding pho and Vietnamese noodle dishes. It is quiet, clean and pleasant with welcoming, friendly service. We were staying in a hotel nearby and came back twice because it was so wonderful. Excellent food."

"Dismay setting. Place isn't very clean to begin with. As soon as you walked it, we were greeted with poor lighting and out of date furnitures.Food was nothing to rave about. I ordered the large pho which tasted mediocre, no onions in which was odd to me. The salad roll was dry and we could tell it was made very fresh. Server was ok, she brought our food quickly to our table. The other thing i didn't like was the parking. Although the restaurant is located at a busy intersection, parking proved to be a challenge. We all concur. This restaurant is a total miss."

"I grew up in Dunbar and Simon's Kitchen was always the place to go for Chinese Food. I live in Singapore now where you can find some of the best Chinese food in the world. Despite this, I still love ordering from Simon's Kitchen whenever I'm back in Vancouver."
