"Dan is one of those restaurants that are barely noticeable from outside and concentrate high quality food and friendly personal service instead of enticing the customer with flashy interior. Staff is really attentive and quick. The menu changes along with availability of fresh ingredients but any dish I have tried was excellent. The atmosphere is very comfortable and simplistic with an open kitchen so you can watch the chef preparing your delicacies. This is definitely one of my favorites in Vancouver and positively sticks out in all its humbleness from all the flashy, "fast-food" Japanese restaurants around."

"Although this is a small and lively restaurant, the hostess is very friendly and attentive. We dined in and ordered pad Thai and green curry beef that both tasted delicious! We'll be back."

"We came here by accident yesterday when we were walking down Broadway in the heat. As soon as I glanced in, I knew we were in for a treat! The sashimi, though expensive, was delicious and super-fresh! The karage was AMAZING, with refreshing aoli. The miso rice balls were interesting, though not the highlight. Really glad we stopped by, we'll be back!"

"Wow ! I was surprised the old lady still in business since the 80"s , only place to go for BBQ and Noodle those good old days , meeting a client for lunch he choose this place very out dated dingy dirty chop suey diner , but portion are big and CHEAP ! he order the BBQ duck and soy chicken rice combo , looks not too bad very meaty , my Seafood Chow Mein surprised very delicious , crispy noodle not oily at all , variety frozen seafood , lot of MSG , it is for people for quick eat in and out fast place , nothing spectacular , once is enough foe me , there is so many clean restaurant around , I do not mind to play more for the cleanness , parking is awful ."
