"Simple and excellent eating elegantly prepared. they have a meal containing fish and ice. I ordered the hot tofu and one of the Tofu skins a la carte. the hot tofu is expensive, but it is great, and they will give them as much extra tofu free as they want. the service is absolutely top notch, and there are more than enough English spoken to treat order. the location is spectacular. they will probably need a reservation to sit outside, but the inner is also beautiful."

"13:00に予約で伺いました。コースは3種類。ランチはう雑炊のみがあるので、お宿で夕食がありましたから、そちらを注文しました。 先にお抹茶と和三盆の砂糖菓子が出ます。注文してからうなぎを捌くのかな。と思ったら意外に早く来ました。2人前が一つの土鍋できます。ご飯はたっぷり。お米はとても美味しいです。うなぎはほんの少しですね（笑） お出汁がよく、味がとても美味しかったです。"

"Got a bento here yesterday and loved it! It is a very cute shop near the river so you can buy your bento here and eat it sitting by the river if you like. The content of the bento was varied and healthy but also delicious. We had seaweed, veggie salad, beans, rice and two different kinds of croquettes. There is an English menu available so you can easily see which options are veggie (they also serve meat and fish). She asked us whether fish stock is a problem (I dont mind) and they also show which bento contains egg. Also, the price is very reasonable! We will certainly come back."

"Owner is super nice and even gives yiu recommendations on sightseeing spots. One vegan ramen dish and the gyoza can also be vegan. It's a nice thing to do if you are sightseeing in kyoto, they even take a video of you while they set it on fire. (8/24 don't know why it currently states its temporary closed, opening hours are correct to the ones you find on Google."

"Super friendly and accommodating staff! I accidentally spilled all my mistsuppet and they replaced her. we had goya champuru set (which with rice, suppe and small vegetable beside dish) and veggie taco rice. everything was delicious and very full. also the okinawan lemon cheese cake is perfectly tried! Salsa music in the background ended that 'island vibes' and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant."
