"The menu has changed a little since my last visit, but the freshly baked bread and homemade jams are still served at breakfast - and they are fantastic. The service depends on the waitress, but is generally good. The coffee is spectacular and the quiche is very good. They offer fresh fruit as one of the side dish options and it was perfectly ripe and delicious! This is always on my list for a lovely breakfast in SMA!"

"Everybody in SMA knows Lolita has excellent food but for unknown reasons a lot of folks seem to think it's expensive. It is not. Large portions at very good prices. There is an extremely wide variety of well-prepared classic Mexican dishes. One of my current...favorites is enchiladas morita de pollo. Muy picante. Muy rico. Really good stuff if you can handle the heat. The fish is excellent. Hard if not impossisble to go wrong, really. Staying in? They deliver. Guaranteed good move."

"Take a taxi to Hotel Hotel Carmina Posada at Cuna de Allende 7 or walk it if you're close to El Jardin in SMA. La Felguera Restaurant is the courtyard of the old colonial Mansion. Start your day with a delicious breakfast in this beautiful place. The breeze is divine, service great, food delicious and reasonably priced and the guitar playing singer nailed the gentle relaxed atmosphere. There are white lace umbrellas to sit under if you choose the sunny area - we loved the shade under the orange trees complete with hanging oranges. I had the fruit salad which was papaya, mango and banana and cost about USA 3.50, followed by sopes which were thick homemade corn tortillas with beans, bacon, cheese and sour cream. DELICIOUS! Coffee was great. My Irish husband who doesn't care much for Mexican Food thoroughly enjoyed his fried eggs and bacon. We both ate for about USD 20.00. They open at 8am every day, seven days a week."

"Breakfast is an odd affair in San Miguel de Allende. Eggs come in unusual combinations. Real butter is hard to find. And you're better off going with the cafe con leche than any other coffee drink. I stopped in at Donovan's because they advertised drinking...chocolate first on their menu. They have four or five kinds- all served with fresh, house made churros. Utterly divine. Should have stuck with that. The eggs were more potatoes and salsa verde than egg. But the chocolate churros? Fantastic."

"Una verdadera joya escondida, aunque lejos del centro de San Miguel y un tanto difícil de encontrar (aunque se resuelve con Waze o Google Maps) es un gran lugar para desayunar, rico abundante y con una excelente relación costo-beneficio, muy buena atención y todos los platillos frescos. El lugar es amplia y bastante agradable, cuentan con wifi."
