"So we waited over a hour for a prawn jacket that was dry and bland and a sandwich on value bread The scones were nice I ordered and paid for the food to be told no cream The communication in this place is non existent not to be told of the wait or lack of cream is just poor management especially as there’s a great big blackboard advertising food they haven’t got"

"Have had food delivered by Pure Spice on many ocassions and whilst the food isn't the best, it is OK and the fact that they deliver means we often choose them not any more! Ordered food for 2 at 6.15pm and asked for this to be delivered at 8pm thought this was plenty of notice particularly for a small order £28 though! At 8.30pm my husband phoned to ask where our order was and he was told the driver had left 5 minutes ago no apology given. Food still not arrived 30 mins later it is a 15 min trip so I called this time without asking for my name or address I was told the food would be with us in 10 minutes how could he possibly have known when he didn't know which order he was talking about obviously a stock answer so be warned! He couldn't ID by phone number as we are ex directory , then another person came on the phone and I was told they didn't actually have an order for us, then the manager spoke to me and said the driver couldn't find our house they take your phone number for this reason but they didn't call! . He then offered to deliver and charge us less should obviously have been at no charge and said it would be with us in 15 minutes I queried how hot the food would be after all this time and he assured me it woukd be OK. I can't say if it was hot or not because it didn't turn up! Absolutely appalling and we will not be giving them our custom again!"

"We have received two doses of coke and two strawberry milk shakes here to this day, and he first accused me of ordering the order. as always the shakes tasted like melted ice cream with the lack of earthberry, went back to tell him and he started to tell me that there is nothing wrong with them, I told him that I didn't want to say how it didn't taste nice, but he continued to tell me that he would do another, and it was for me that if I wanted to avoid it!"

"Ordered a large meal for the family over the phone and arranged collection. When I went to pick up I was told only cash or phone payment were accepted, neither of which I could do. We had used this take away before and always paid by credit card. I went to get some cash to pay and ended up spending nearly £60 on a cold meal. No offer of discount despite me being clearly annoyed. If they had let us know when we placed the order on the phone at least that would have helped. RIDICULOUS, we won't be using them again."

"We returned here after a year and were not disappointed. We went twice in a week and the food was absolutely delicious! Lovely full English breakfasts and delicious range of cakes (warm chocolate fudge cake was the best I’ve ever eaten thank you! . Staff were all really friendly on both occasions and service quick. Beautiful surroundings too. We can’t wait to return and would recommend to others. Lovely white chocolate hot chocolate too. Thank you."
