"Went to the Dorset Arms on the way back from Sheffield Park. Lovely welcome and good atmosphere. Limited menu and no lunch time items. However, I had the sole slips and my Husband had the barsteak. Couldn't believe how small and pretentous the servings were. No embleshment and nothing to write home about. My fish had little flavour. Over priced and not somewhere I would revisit as consequence. Much better value for money in other local pubs."

"We had a great experience in this wonderful part of the countryside! We were greeted with a friendly face and the owners seemed genuinely lovely. They gave us a little pair of scissors to snip the strawberry 's straight from the plant rather than tugging on them (a great idea making the whole experience much easier! Just holding the punnet underneath then snip ! The strawberry 's were beautiful (and all eaten! As there are very few pick your owns left in Sussex now, we shall definitely be returning in the not to distant future!"

"Although we have lived here for some time now, we have not tried this takeaway before. Probably because we prefer to eat out to be fair. However, three weeks in to self isolating and yet another dinner of two week old carrots and a block...of cheese was starting to wear a bit thin! Ordering on line, and paying on line, was quick and easy. The delivery driver arrived exactly on time and stood a respectful distance at the bottom of our driveway after ringing the bell which was much appreciated! As a vegetarian i do struggle a lot with some Indian meals I have to say. I have found many strange things in my curries over the years, although brussel sprouts probably tops the strangest and most unappealing item However, we ordered two main vegetarian dishes and one vegetarian side dish. All three were very different in terms of taste and what they had in them. Spicy but not too spicy. Lots of interesting (and appropriate) vegetables and the sauces for each were thick and rich, not runny and oily. Definitely the best onion bhajis we have tasted for a very long time. It is such a good find! We will certainly order again. Many thanks to the staff who continue to work and deliver in these uncertain times."

"I have used this take away for years however on the last phone call to put in a order at 5 pm we were told could you phone back in 20 min!! I said sorry I thought you opened at 5pm he said yes we do can you phone back it 10 min.err no! So clearly we didn't even bother placing an order and went elsewhere. Stey well clear if you want to eat on that evening."

"We were in Mayfield on holiday and ended up having brunch at The Pink Cabbage three times! The food was great, as we were able to try most everything on the menu. The service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The restaurant is charming with eclectic decor. A must-stop location in East Sussex."
