"We ordered the fish platter, very ordinary for £30 and few chips under the fish were cold. Asked for replacements which never came. Small piece of cod on fish and chips order which was poor value at £18. 300% mark up on a bottle of white wine. Wished I had trusted my rule of thumb that weeds growing on an entryway to a pub or restaurant is never a good look and doesnt bode well."

"Waited 40 minutes for a very simple food order. Drinks order (also not complicated) was misunderstood twice. Place seemed to be run by teenagers out of their depth. When I chased the food, I was told they were really really busy, but there were not many people in the pub and most weren't eating. Pub had also inexplicably run out of peas Disappointing. Will not be coming back"

"This is a pub from my childhood. I spent many hours playing in the garden and feeling very welcome. The chap who served us was nice. First... The pizza was nice. The burger was bland. The scampi was lots of air and little scampi. The calamari was not even eaten. The chips were too salty. The chips where over fried like they had been left in the fryer and fried again. All in all the good was not worth the £52 spent (not including drinks)! How do you get fried food so wrong! We told the waiter and you would have though a manager would have come out. Nope! Such a shame, but in a village with so many pubs, I would go somewhere else."
