"Outstanding. Deserving of every 5 start rating, an absolutely delicious place for a wrap, soup or salad. This saved my culinary day. The owner is a lovely resident of Edinburgh, Omar. The wrap was simple, humble and delicious. I really enjoyed the fusion of flavour with Sudanese and Mediterranean Flavor. The chili harrissa with preserved lemon was just outstanding. Wraps and Salads are always available as is the delicious Vegan Banana, Oak and Sultana cake. They have a more extensive menu that is available weekends. If you would like to try on a weekday, give the restaurant a call to see what they have available. Truly a gem in Bruntsfield. "Social bite is a sandwich shop with a difference. their profits go to the next love and 25% of their employees were previously homeless. the greener and coworkers take care of the company, to work hard, to help others, and they care about the quality of their food. And that should them. a desire to support a good thing, people do not draw back to lunch when eating is not on scratch. "This little un-assuming cafe became our fall back for decent coffee, tea and sandwiches. It is a gourmet oasis in desert of deep fried food. Their cakes and snacks are lovely. As a black coffee drinker, they had the best beans in the city. Super friendly staff."

"Absolute favourite in Edinburgh. Visited as couple. Fantastic service, very knowledgeable and fun team. The food was super delicious and could eat there every day. Very fresh and tasty seafood. Oysters as fresh as you get them straight from a boat. The wine was good as well. Had the shallot mussels, one full pot, I couldn't finish. The sauce was amazing too. Everything just top! My partner had the shellfish pasta, it was perfectly cooked and the sauce really nice. Good portion. It's a simple restaurant but I guess you come there for the food. We had a table booked for Thursday night, but there seemed to be free tables as well for walk ins. Would come back again and again."

"A very nice restaurant with classic but delicious food! I tried the pork chop for mains and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert no regrets for both, they were fantastic. Good service but make sure you book in advance as they’re not flexible with reservations. Also be prepared to spend as it’s not cheap!"

"We stopped at 6 o'clock on Friday night for dinner, past the open kitchen at the front of the restaurant and sitting immediately at one of the dozens or tables in the back restaurant, about half the tables were occupied when we arrived. this is our place casual, friendly, family-run, with delicious interesting food. let me repeat the friendly bit; each staff we met had a big smile and was warm/friendly. our food was delicious. the Falafel app was extra crispy on the outside and extra delicate on the inside. the kisir app was new to us; it had some of the well-known aromes of tabbouleh, but better. the cheese that was served with the hallumi kebab was also new to us; a salty solid chewing version of mozzarella, but better. and the lamb shank was falling from the bone tender and tasty. beautifully done."
