"If you're staying at the Ibis budget hotel or elsewhere near the train station in Limoges you should try this restaurant. I had two one-night stays in Limoges recently and dined here on both occasions - which included a national holiday (good to know). If you want good, unfussy French restaurant/ bistro fare there's plenty on offer. Try the Limousine salad or terrine to start, then enjoy a great sirloin (faut-filet) or confit de canard for mains. These were on menus at €20 and €26. I had a half-bottle of very acceptable Bordeaux with a coffee to follow and was more than happy with the final bill. Service was quick, though note that they are justifiably popular, so they filled up on both occasions I was there. Thoroughly recommended."
