"Nipped in after a bit of wine tasting at the nearby vineyard and had a very enjoyable lunch. Home cooked pies, burgers and, fish and chips the the pub classics done very well. Beers as good as always too. Just good food and drink in a proper pub. Friendly dog too!"

"Been before and the food was really great. However, hubby's fish (fish and chips) was not great and I had the roast beef. Which was okay but lacking in enough gravy. Had to ask twice before I got some so not good. Staff were wonderful and very pleasant."

"Decided to do a circular walk from Ardingly (no 2 in the Walks from West Sussex pubs) and discovered that the Oak Inn, listed there, has closed down. Chose the Ardingly Inn instead and was surprised to be able to book a table for 8 so easily on a Sunday lunch time. Was there something wrong? Absolutely not. A short but ideal menu, great food for children and adults, friendly service and an all round lovely lunch and good value too. The landlord told me that it seems people pass the pub by as it’s slightly set back from the main Lindfield Turners Hill Road. You’re missing out. We’ll be going back."
