"The beer is over rated by many locals. It attempts a British style but is way off the pace. None of the beers have much depth to them and one feels they are just trading on former reputation.The food menu is reasonable. I chose the beef pie with mash and mushy peas. The quality was passable rather than delicious or outstanding.Ambience is good and the building has character. A disappointment neither the food nor beer follows suit."

"Ate here for breakfast a few days ago. Great location on the wharf and I loved the fit out. The staff were friendly and took our order quickly. Our drinks came out surprisingly fast which was nice. The breakfasts were pretty bland and average and at $22 each I was hoping for a lot more. They also brought out the completely wrong dish twice so we were waiting quite a long time. Probably better for coffee and drinks rather than food"
