"We had fish and chips, steak pie and a pizza. Used the £10 off voucher given to the holiday makers on the park, and it came to roughly £16. The chips were very good, fish was ok, a little greasy. Pie was ok as was the pizza. The pizzas in the clubhouse look better."

"Excellent location in the heart of Melrose. Amazing friendly local staff, always smiling, helpful and flexible. The hotel is dog friendly, which was fantastic. Good breakfast included (a la carte style) and restaurant facility for the day, with a nice outdoor area for drinks. The room is cleaned at check-in with complementary coffee and tea. The hotel does not offer room service, so you have to manage your own room cleanliness until check-out. Rooms: 3"

"This was my second visit to the restaurant and both times have been excellent. I am coeliac so have to eat gluten-free. I must admit that there wasn't a huge amount of choice for gluten-free (although I am aware there are possible supply issues at...the moment), but the restaurant staff were very knowledgeable about cross-contamination issues, so I felt very safe eating here. I had fish and chips both times, and both times it was excellent. Dogs are welcome (we took our dogs the first time) and service was excellent. By far the better of the two local establishments."

"Absolutely lovely time, and a big thanks to Karen the complex, a lovely lunch, with lots of TLC, and made the birthday lunch special. "We stopped in at the plough today for lunch as we were passing through. All three meals were simple but delicious, freshly prepared and home cooked. The fish and chips were superb, some of the best we’ve had. Friendly welcome, would recommend."
