I cannot praise the chef enough, had 'Scottish trash '. It was absolutely fabulous. The steak in the dish was cooked to perfection, haggis beautiful, I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I 've had for a very long time. Please do not pass it by! Awesome. View all feedback.

If you dream of a proper old fashioned unique pub then look no further! This pub has character and isn’t like your chain offering. If you walk in the bar and everyone turns round and looks at you, don’t worry, they’re not being unfriendly, just nosey as who is coming in. Is it someone they know? You are most welcome to come in and enjoy great beer (so my husband tells me), amazing food and all at really good prices.... View all feedback.
I won't lie the moment you walk into the restaurant are, it looks like a run down tired bar, with bar carpets and a dated appearance, but do NOT let this put you off. We travelled down for an event last night and popped in before it started. I worried it was going to be cheap style normal pub fare and I was so wrong. In fact, I will even go as far as to say that I would make the 2 and a half hour round trip in the future solely to eat the foot. I had the BBQ burger with layer after layer, I had no chance of getting my mouth around it. I enjoyed every moment of it, couldn't finish it but oh how I tried. Dessert was a lot simpler but tasty all the same. Staff were friendly. Will definitely be back.
Not glamorous but filling good food. Very welcoming staff. Might be an age thing but every song playing in the background was brilliant. Would definitely return.
This restaurant is unbelievably good, The choice on the menu was extensive, when the hot food arrived it was cooked to perfection and was faultless, one of the best meals ive had in a long time, the bar manager and manageress were really friendly and accommodating, we will definitely be returning here very soon, defo 10 out of 10.
Day 2 of our St Cuthbert 's Way walk and we were in need of a good meal. And that is exactly what we got! My 2 companions both cleared their plates but the Rabbie Burger beat me. To confuse us foreigners the place also goes by the name Belter 's Bar . I hope I 've got that right. A very welcoming pub with a nice area more of a Restaurant area upstairs. Invited to stay near the bar until the table was ready although we could have gone straight to our table. Advantage of staying by the bar is we were able to get an instant refill of our beer, of which there was a choice and well kept. The menu listed various burgers, along with many other options, which were substantial and nice with decent chips, onion rings and homemade coleslaw. In case you are wondering what a Rabbie burger is : Along with the main meat it also contains Haggis, Neeps and Tatties. Went here a few years ago with family including grandchildren and family dog. And will be going again if I 'm in, or passing through, Jedburgh
Amazing value for money I had the surf and turf Mrs c had the lamb the place is a little tired but the food and the couple who run it far outweigh the decor but I would advise to pre book a table
