"We had a lovely meal. Staff were friendly and checked on us numerous times to see if we needed anything. The carvery was delicious, we had a choice of 4 meats and plenty of choice of vegetables and sauces. Everything was clean and the pub itself is nicely decorated, we enjoy all of our visits here. Our table had a range of drinks, all of which were served promptly. A few of us had deserts and they looked beautiful."

"The food is unique and delicious, the place is warm and cosy. They have lit candles in the evening and lovely outdoor seating which is fantastic during summertime. The staff are attentive and friendly, they clearly hold a high standard for quality when it comes to both hygiene and food. I highly recommend this place for anyone for anything. A nice treat for yourself? The staff will make you feel right at home. Date for two? A romantic candle lit dinner with a variety of stunning wines to choose from. Family get together? No better place to go, plenty of seating, a homely setting and calm atmosphere."

"A country pub serving gourmet food in traditional suroundings. not only was eating superb (we had slowly boiled boiled boils with crackling) cooked with everything to perfection, the staff was charming, very attentive, without being overlaid. the menu was so that the choice was not just every item was appealing. there was a good selection of beers, a super wine list including cocktails and desert wines. Although not cheap, the bill was much lower than expected and was excellent worth for money. Although it was a long trip for us, we will definitely visit again and we are very happy to recommend the white hard."
