"Found this place while on a trip. Absolutely fantastic fried fish and chips. My wife and I both had the Haddock, and couldn't have been more impressed. Flavorful, moist fish, absolutely FRESH, with a crispy crust that you will want to come back for again and again. A 2 piece meal is HUGE definitely worth the very reasonable price. To top it off, the owner and staff are incredibly friendly and care about the service and the product they provide.Do not miss out on this gem!"

"State and main always serves delicious food! We are frequent guests at State and Main in Hamilton. I am a vegetarian, but I prefer to eat vegan options when I go out if there is a choice. State and Main caters to all dietary needs and I love that I have a few different vegan options here and they are always so accommodating. Service is fantastic here, we have never had a bad experience!"

"Haven't been here in a while, so I thought stop in for a few wobbleypops with my best friend who's visiting from New Brunswick. Our waitress was gem and the food and service were fantastic! We ended up ordering the loaded nachos I think the best I've ever had. Throw in the ambiance and I'd say it's one of the nicer places to go in Hamilton"

"My wife and i went with some friends, ordered 2 gin and tonics that tasted like water. Told the waiter, he didn't care. Our second round asked for the Gin on the side, much better. Either watered down or non pour. Be better."

"We enjoyed a fun evening on May 5 dining on the Fabulous tastes of Mexico presented at the American House. Just started at the top of the special night's menu and worked our way down to our utter delight! The atmosphere, decor and friendly service made for a really fun night. Suggest a few more quality dessert options but the prices are fair the food is really very good any day of the week. Don't pass by when you could drop in!"
