My husband and I were here last week. The fish and chips were from this world and they were gluten-free. The quality of the fish was sensational. What Elcycad (Elcycad) doesn't like about Hammerhead's:
The lady behind the counter was friendly but was hesitant to recommend anything else besides the fish/chips when asked. We decided on the calamari.The fish/chips was good enough but I’d skip the strips of calamari next time as it was a bit overcooked and chewy. read more.

I’ve always had great fish n chips and great service here but recently they went above and beyond to ensure this wayward Newfoundlander had Bonavista snow grab...

All gluten free fish and chips! Excellent taste and generous portions. Staff knows their customers by name. A must if you are on a gluten free diet.

"First time stopping here ... I picked up an order of enchiladas and a piece of chicharron.I enjoyed both items... but I must admit the salsa with the enchiladas had a different taste to it... I can't quite figure out the taste but I almost want to say it was like a BBQ sauce...It was good, just different!Sorry, there is no picture of the chicharron... I ate it before getting home and taking a picture. ?"
