"This Restaurant is situated a bit before Mahabalipuram as you drive from Chennai. I have visited the Original Rahmath Border Parotta and that was an absolutely amazing experience. But this namesake restaurant did not live up to even the most basic expectations. The mutton biryani...was quite nice but there was only one small piece of mutton in it which made us wonder whether Khuska (plain biryani) had been brought by mistake. The veechu parotta cost 90 Rs and we had to use two hands to pull it apart, it was so rubbery. The plain parotta was just normal, nothing special about it. The naattu kozhi chicken gravy consisted of a little gravy and one big piece of chicken which was so hard that it was impossible to tear it with our hands. The mutton gravy was quite nice. The service was pathetic and though we made several requests for some glasses to pour our Pepsi, it was not fulfilled. Overall I will say it was quite a disappointing expereince, I will suggest that you can give this restaurant one try if you happen to visit Mahabalipuram."

"I had dinner before from the brother restaurant next to the original Moonrakers. Comparing both, have the same set of menu, same taste, ambiance.<br/ <br/ I think the fish size and type vary from day to day based on the catch. Comparatively the size was less than before.<br/ So ordered and extra garlic butter fish......<br/ <br/ That way I return with filled mind and stomach by paying around 1300 to my home.......<br/ Happy ending.."

"I'm amazed to finally find a proper Roti in South India! I had them with Channa Masala, a chickpeas curry dish and it's sooo good I can still feel them in my mouth as I'm writing this. They also make tandoori and Naan in a...proper clay oven. The people are passionate and honest and it makes a big difference. Thank you Hussain for your hospitality."

"For me was a bad experience since I have ordered food asking please to don 't put any spices, pepper or herbs... unfortunly at the first taste of that food, I couldn 't feel my tongue more... For my opinion the waiters or the chefs maybe, are...so stupid to don 't understand the meaning of no spices . Last thing, don 't admire too much the photos on the menu, probably they are dowloaded from Google or any other restaurant, their food is completely different. Take a look to attached photos. Dei veri mongoli, da evitare assolutamente."

"Since 2005 we have traveled to india and one of the places visited this year is mamallapuram. it is difficult to avoid the known restaurants, but try them a real restaurant. on the beach road to shoretempel you will find the restaurant Rose...Garden, right in front of the temple. it is a restaurant for the Indian tourist, but go into it. they will serve them fantastic local cuisine. all freshly prepared on the same morning, vegetarian or chicken birayani, delicious tasty ! ask if they have the fish frit. catching the day marinated with local spices and this is really a tasty bite. tali is also available and surely they will not regret. if they want to make a tour through South India, the owner's son has his own well maintained car and will take it on a tour through South India. his name is shekhar and we had a wonderful tour with him. He took us on a tour through the city of the tempels over kovalam and ended in cochin (kerala) every day he surprised us with his knowledge about the region, the people, the eating, the habits, the spicy. they call it . his tours are like eating in the rosengarten! one must visit the real tamil nadu and kerala!"

"We thought it's a good restaurant given its high ratings on TripAdvisor, but were hopelessly let down by the staff, food, service and ambience. Staff were overworked I felt since it was the lunch time when we went there, but weren't even asked if we...wanted to sit or not. Once we found some table (i dont why they keep tables on the way to service route in the first place!? which obviously hadn't the best seats in the house, we werent asked about the order for about 10 minutes or so..mind you the waiters weren't busy! They were just looking at others eating. Then we finally ordered! Food came after 30mins! And the food wasn't great too though, it was the same old bland taste which you get in any other normal restaurant..which isn't expected from the place that got the travellers choice awards. All this just coz we werent tamilians! Parking is another hassle. Don't take your cars there! It's a 10ft wide road that's it! And they try to cram in innovas and what not in that poor stretch of a road. And all this in the hot burning sun, will surely get your blood boiling and head exploding. All in all! JUST DONT GO THERE!"
