"This was our first visit to Pictou, and we were looking for a coffee place. Stone Soup was open and had some good reviews, so we decided to check it out. We ended up ordering the soup of the day and did not regret our decision. It's a cozy coffee shop with nice folks and delicious menu items. Would totally recommend it.Food: 5/5"

"Stopped for Lunch on the way to Cape Bretton. The lodge is a little ways outside of town, but worth the drive. Classic old lodge with a dining room overlooking the beach. Menu and food were excellent, prices reasonable and the service GREAT!"

"Sharon's is great place to eat if you are on a budget. I went there for breakfast and I got my money's worth. Two eggs, bacon, home fries and toast and coffee was included, $6.95 plus tax. In the states coffee is hardly ever included and they change you at least $2.00 for it. Staff very friendly. Sharon's is local Mom & Pop restaurant. I will go back tomorrow for the pancakes. They looked fluffy and huge. Highly recommended"

"You would be hardpressed to go hungry here. The two piece fish and chips was huge, especially the fish. The fish was properly cooked and the fries were decent. The fish chowder had so much fish it was piled on top. It was mostly haddock but there were several scallops, clams and bits of lobster as well. The broth was very creamy with no flour or cornstarch. The broth could have been a bit fishier tasting.We had no room for dessert!"

"Very slow service, 3 tables came in behind us and were served ahead of us. Reason? Fryer room. Three other tables all had food that required fryer space. Think they forgot our order, not even an apology......and when food arrived, it was cold!"
