"I popped in to grab a bite from the bakery section today. I was the only person in there, but the person working seemed hassled. There weren 't many options but I got the 'vegetarian sandwich ' that was advertised for 12.00. It was not good. It had lettuce, plain goat cheese, and beets but no seasoning or flavor whatsoever. The bread was very hard. I threw half of it away because my jaw was sore from trying to gnaw through the bread."

"Start your night off right!. Went to Baru for the first time, the food, the price, the location, the atmosphere are amazing. <br/ <br/ Whatever you decide to have it will be simply excellent. All the staff are warm and made me feel as though I was walking in to visit family.<br/ <br/ When you make your reservation and head over you should really consider trying the ceviche...a highlight of my Friday night : If you have gluten allergy don't hesitate to tell them they are very accommodating. <br/ <br/ Looking forward to planning another night out at Baru!"

"Good Food, Nice Owners. Now a lot of the menu items are named in Portuguese but are described in English, so we split the pork/clam dish, the two were stacked on top of some fries, and might i say they were some of the best fries i have ever had, the white wine oil type sauce thing was magical, and the fries were reminiscent of a great fish and chips joint. The clams were steamed to perfection too. The Piri Piri chicken wings were great and the pitchers of Kelowna Pilsner Lager for 13 bucks is hard to beat. Only beef was the prawns were more like shrimps and they still had their skin/shell on... If you're lucky the owner may serenade you with the aid of a karaoke machine. :"

"First impression, restaurant smells of old and mildew. Service nothing special. Ordered their famous half chicken and side of rice. Spit the first bite of chicken. Tasted like the restaurant smells. Rice was dry and cold. Did not eat my meal. Got my check, complained and was offered a free dessert. No excuse for serving this type of food. Beware."

"When i passed by this place i've never knew this place gets a high rating because it doesn't look like one. the place is like a minimart that sells lots of other country's packaged goods and also bakery. this time that i know this place have a good rating, i've decided to give it a try, and well inside there are many variation of food, bakery goods, and some hot food items as well like sandwhich, well i got the flan, tripple cheesecake, and a sandwhich can't remember which one it's atm. but i do enjoy the flan more as it's soft, sort of in the middle texture of jelly and cake, and the taste of sweetness is just right, the sandwhich, it's not really recommended, as it's not really flavourful to me, but it's well made i must say, it's something that you can eat 1000 times and not get bored of, the hint of spices and flavours is in the burger but it's not overwhelming. and this is the first time i tried a burger that have stringbeans type of vegetable is accompanied with the meat, definitely okay but i find it there's not much crunch with boiled stringbeans. i find the food that i bought it's just alright, but i must say the empanadas is definitely alright."
