"Pleasant and attentive staff and fairly quiet atmosphere. Good menu; our favorites were the well-seasoned mushroom ravioli (creamy, not dry) and the beet and kale salad. The fish as part of the fish-and-chips was fresh and crispy, although the fries were a bit soggy. Nice sourdough bread, and varied beer and wine selection. Would return next time we're in the area."

"Not a ton of gluten free options.Vern’s is a cute place right in park ave (expect to find street parking somewhere else and walk).The menu and dishes are supposed to be shared, but will require some work to cut up and divide with your friends. We ordered the pork belly, stone fruit salad, clams, polenta, pizza, and focaccia. Pizza and focaccia not gluten free, but the other items were.The dishes come out when they are ready (super tiny kitchen) which gives this a surprise timing. The staff were friendly and mostly helpful.I was disappointed by many of the dishes. They lacked a certain level of flavor and were awkward to share since I had to cut and divide everything.We had a party of 5 and enjoyed the outdoor dining. Not a bad experience just not the best food around."

"I’m NJ born and raised, work in NYC and have been around the country. This place was very good. Comparable to some shops in NJ (which I think has the best pizza. Tasty, cheese was perfect, good crust, and reasonable pricing."

"I 'm a meat eater, but in here, I don 't miss meat at all. The dishes are full of flavor and not rabbit food . They are hearty enough to fill your belly, but have lots of fresh bright flavor and bite. I 'm a big fan of the pickled things . The side salads are not skimpy and really round out meals nicely. Atmosphere is laid back and eclectic."
