"This is one of the best restaurants, in my opinion, in Montreal. Parking is very tough but well worth the time. There are a few public lots within walking distance. Take advantage of them. The service is impeccable. The food is beautifully presented and delicious. We started with the appetizers of fried calamari and beef tartar. The calamari was lightly battered and crunchy with the inside perfectly tender. Beef tartar is not one of my faves but it was really fresh and tasty. We then had the hanger steak with fries and one of the daily specials of duck breast. Both were cooked to perfection and delicious. No dessert was required. We were too full but there is a great selection available. Reservations are a must. A definite Do Not Miss."

"Idéal pour un party de famille avec une belle grande terrasse , ce bistro , apportez votre vin , nous a comblés au delà de nos attentes . Première visite mais ce ne sera pas la dernière . Grand choix de cuisine à tendance méditerranéenne ....... accueil chaleureux ,service professionnel et serveurs qui connaissent bien leur menu ....... pas besoin de feuille de notes ou d'aller voir le chef pour savoir la composition des plats . Je vous recommande le foie gras au torchon fait maison avec chutney de figues ..... un pure délice . Tout est délicieux , frais , chaud ( ce qui est normal mais pas toujours le cas ) . Parfait pour tous le goûts ..... poisson .... braisé ...... plats végétariens ...... à la carte ou en table d'hôte ...."

"La Sauvagine has a lovely authentic, bistro atmosphere. Jazz played in the background. We ordered the caeser salad, vegetable soup, grilled porgy, sautéed cod and potato, and the poached pear with wine sauce for dessert. We also had a bottle of Chardonnay. The service was attentive and the food was delicious."

"The food is good, but it's a bit expensive for crepes. Last time I went on Sunday for brunch, there was quite a lot of people, so service was rather slow. I waited 20 min to get my coffee."
