"The menu has been upgraded with better choices but the food is still mediocre. I had french toast and it tasted rushed like not enough time soaking in the egg batter to cover all the surfaces of the bread. It left me wanting more. The...omelets were also mediocre. I'll just go back to bagel world."

"We have eaten at this restaurant for at least 15 years. Food is delicious, prices are reasonable. The restaurant was recently renovated on the inside. It's clean bright, with the dining room at the front and a small bar at the back. Big screen...tvs in both rooms. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Plenty of parking."

"This used to be Kenny's Gourmet Chinese FoodWas totally disappointed in food quality and service. We had to flag our server down multiple times to order and ask for a drink. We asked for some clarification and the server could not explain any of the dishes on the menu. The food is not traditional Chinese as they serve spaghetti with chicken and pasta sauce and lots of egg based dishes. We finally got the coke we ordered at the beginning of our meal when the bill came. So we took the can to go. Won't be back!"

"My favorite part of the holiday is when I find the hidden gems in and around the places I find for my family and me. We were looking for a good breakfast place as the hotels are usually overpriced and subpar. We have... some online searches and found this place. We stayed here the day we wanted to explore in Toronto and we were welcomed as if we had been there many times. The woman and I have standard breakfast and the kids got bacon, eggs and pancakes. No one was disappointed. We had to go back the next day to make sure that it was not a fuke and how family were treated that explained the reception of our family on their website. That was at the level we mentioned earlier that it was my daughter's birthday and she was treated with a stack of pancakes with candles. My wife and I have both clubhouse sandwiches and they use real, perfectly seasoned chicken breast. I dare to say the best clubhouse I had to eat in many years! The owner Joyce, Tiffany and the rest of the staff show the customer experience that customers should and will come back. They are, of course, proud of their work and leave their way to eat an experience for which people will come back. This was the biggest restaurant experience we have ever met in our many trips and we will be sure to come back as we already feel like family, although there are many kilometers between us!"

"I come here regularly, not because of its food nor service. My friends and I meet here because it is a fairly good size restaurant and not too busy, so that we can sit and talk for a while. The food is ok, not good, service varies depending on the waitress. Price is reasonable."

"We are looking for HK-style restaurant in Markham and Richmond Hill area. We would say New City Restaurant is the best among all other HK-style restaurants in the city. They are not ingenious, rather... acceptable for very good. Owners and servers are very...friendly and efficient. There is always line-up, but you usually get a table within 5 minutes. We tried their breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, and we like them all. This is our first HK-style restaurant in town."
