"Wie so oft herrscht Hochbetrieb im Le Panetier am Sonntagvormittag. Wir finden ein Plätzchen, sitzen ab und warte... und warten... und warten. Obschon die zwei jungen Bedienungen uns gesehen haben, räumen sie unseren Tisch nicht ab, begrüssen nicht und bringen auch keine Karte. Das tue ich dann selber, aber auch mein böser Blick bringt scheinbar nichts.Dann doch noch: eine sehr freundliche und wohlwollende Dame "Nancy" fragt nach der Bestellung, bietet uns einen grösseren Tisch an (Frühstückstisch) und offeriert uns Orangenjus "fürs Warten". Top! Und natürlich auch das Frühstück war dann Prima mit den vielen leckeren und frischen Brotsorten. Wir kommen wieder, trotz der nicht ganz kunden-freundlichen Mädels im hinteren Bereich..."

"This restaurant located in the city center, in avenelle away from traffic is worth a visit and bears its name: a limited map, dictated by the seasons and desires of the chef, well mastered and with excellent flavors. We discovered with happiness forgotten vegetables and associations of ingredients for the least surprising but succulent. impeccable and personal service and presentation to be recommended."

"Very delicious food. the staff was nice, but they were a little overwhelmed so it was a little waiting, but it wasn't a big thing. they do not speak German, only French and I believe English. the summer menu was only in French."

"Pfauen is a nice though old fashioned restaurant in the middle of the old town in Biel. We really enjoyed the offered basic food, being Swiss (Cordon Bleu) as well as International (Moules & Frites). All this was combined with an attentive and pleasant service. Thumb-up."

"The service was moderately attentive and the waiting times were too long and the ordered entrecôte was actually as if I were preparing it at home. all in all good, but not overwhelming or surprising. it is worth it because of the terasse and the great one. Price-quality ratio is not true"

"We took the specialty of the house which is cut beef on a plate with house made sauce, french fries & salad. The beef is served between raw and rare and I would definitely recommend to eat it in that form as well. You get the meat on a plate where you can cook it yourself up to the point you like. If you do cook it longer stop early enough, it's not nice anymore once it's well done.If you do like rare meat this is a great place to go. The meat is super tender, excellent quality and the price is more than ok for Swiss standards.As mentioned by other reviewers the restaurant has two big issues: Service and style. It was far from busy but the waiter decided it's time to clean up tables from guests that just left before we even got asked for a drink or menu. Even after that it was far away from fast service, which is really a pity.I also recommend to replace the light bulbs, it is super white light which is not cozy at all. The music was probably a local radio station and played horrible EDM, any jazz/classic CD/playlist would have done a way better job for the target audience of this restaurant.Again the food is great, just too bad they will loose some customers with sloppy service & presentation."

"Café Brésil is located in the centre of Biel/Bienne on the opposite side of the station. The menu contains only a few dishes to choose from, but this supplements the quality and quantity you get. What I liked most was the variety of...more vegetables, fruit combined in a autumn special dish. Although much is shown in German, the staff is mainly French. But will try hard and friendly, you feel comfortable and wel also care if you don't speak the French language. The food is fresh and wel prepared. Te meat (Deer from Autumn Special) was juicy and perfectly cooked and seasoned. For a place that looks like any average place, it is certainly a tasteful trip on the positive side. The prices are normal and waiting times for the ordered food are very acceptable."
