"After reading some previous reviews I wasn’t sure the choice of this restaurant to meet friends was a good idea. However upon arrival we were pleased with the setting, an outdoor courtyard with shade and the attentive staff. The menu du jour was which...consisted of gazpacho, salmon lasagne and peaches in wine and ice cream. Wines were reasonably priced although there wasn’t a “house wine” as such. Overall a very pleasant afternoon, good value for money, friendly, helpful staff and easy parking opposite."

"The lunch option was the menu for 20 euro, which includes a free, top (main course) and dessert. the menu was short, two choices in each category that I always feel is a good thing it means to serve what is fresh. my meal was fresh and very well prepared. I chose muddles as my escape, which were damped in a simple broth with lemon and petersil. for the plate I chose the cod that was delicious. it was politic and was very moist and tasteful and was on a pure butternut quilt with sauteed juicy vegetables and a light sauce that does not overwhelm the perfectly boiled fish. I'm going back to bloc g before I leave carcassonne. (hidden link)"

"This is our third visit to this family-run restaurant. The welcome was arm and genuine, the cooking really excellent and the price (we chose the €70 menu which included excellent wine) was substantial but fair. We will come again!"

"We arrived in Carcassonne at dinner time on a Sunday and had not made any reservations. In France this means you have no chance to eat in a good place. So our expectations were not very high when we went to La Cotte de Mailles. It had mostly good reviews on Tripadvisor so we decided to try it, But we were very disappointed with the service and the food. Very primitive touristy eatery, that's what it is"

"Nous sommes arrivés par hasard cherchant le calme et de l'ombre pendant notre visite de la cité médiévale sous la canicule. Nous avons déjeuné dans ce jardin paisible niché dans le cœur de la cité, sans voir ni entendre le flot des touristes. Déjà c'est formidable et ravissant. Nous avons pris les menus entrée plat dessert (-de 30euros). C'était très copieux surtout pour ceux qui avaient choisis le cassoulet et le dessert. Tout était très bon et bien présenté. Le service est à la hauteur aussi. Le restaurant dépend du superbe hôtel de la Cité situé en face. Le plus, le menu enfant propose des petites portions de vrais plats et non l'habituel jambon, saucisses ou pire des nuggets. Une belle parenthèse au cours d'une journée qui peut être fatigante."
