"We managed to get away for a weekend without the children, the first time for 11 years! We have a place near Hesdin, and thought it would be nice to go for a romantic meal. Having looked at the reviews on trip advisor we chose La Breteche, and I'm glad we did. It was a lovely warm evening so we sat outside, but they were concerned we would get cold so the staff sorted out the patio heater for us. The food was lovely, we do enjoy fine dining, and have been to some famous/popular "foodie" restaurants. Whilst I have had slightly better meals they have been three to four times the price of this meal. The food was well presented, well cooked and tasted wonderful. The staff were attentive, but not obtrusive, there was a good wine list and I would highly recommend it. It was a nice romantic meal for us, but there is a children's menu so also good for families, and there was a large seating area so great for a group also. We look forward to going back again."

"Thank you for this great experience. Saturday noon menu was composed of an entrance, marinar mussels and a strawberry tiramisu for only 15 euros. the queen's pizza on me, followed by a strawberry tiramisu as well both were excellent. (I would have preferred slices of ham instead of dice, but it's only a detail). The price is affordable, the open kitchen is a real plus, we eat very well and the servers are as pleasant as smiling. We'll be back!"

"A great brewery where we are very welcome. The menu of the day at less than 14 euros is more than correct: from the choice in entries, dishes and desserts. You will also find good handmade beers to enjoy your meal. In summary, a good small brewery where you will eat correctly for not too expensive. Sober decoration and a large terrace also to enjoy the sun."

"The kindness of the owners was exceptional.. We were in Hesdin doing the French rally championship which on Saturday night finished very late.. Not only did they stay open for us but the food was well cooked and plentiful! A great find!!"
