"Classic French Brasserie, quality cuisine and excellent service. The prices were reasonable. I noticed that I wasn't the only tourist to go there that night, so I was a little worried about being found in a tourist trap, but it wasn't worth it. The steak I had was of good quality and well cooked. I recommend this place to all those who want to dine in a traditional French brewery (Original view) Classic French Brasserie, a high quality cuisine and exceptional service. Reasonable prices. I noticed that I wasn't the only tourist there that night, so I was a little worried that I ended up in a tourist trap, but I don't need it. The steak I had was of good quality and cooked nicely. "Top-notch service, delicious food, and collected atmosphere. Their crème brûlée could use less sugar on top so that it crystallizes more evenly, but besides this, the drinks (both hot and cold) as well as the dishes are fantastic. Evidently well-received by native Parisians and American tourists alike, but never over-crowded. They willingly speak English, but they entertain my trying to speak French. Overall, a nice place for a romantic dinner, night out with friends, or just people-watching with a book in hand."

"On the occasion of the bhv races, I have lunched the truffle craftsman, a franchise dedicated to truffle. a good occasion for me who am a wine tasting to imbue me with the smell of the truffle that we find in the great wines of burgundy and in the chablis . the omelette with the truffle put well in value the fragrants so special of the Truffle. An opportunity at reasonable prices to form the nose and the palace to recognize this mushroom of excellence with subtle scents."

"The Bubar is a lovely little winebar that is overfilled with loads of wine, whiskey, cds and other nostalgia stuff that makes it appear very cozy and inviting in the candle light. The crowd that was attracted by the charme of its wonderfully eccentric owner (least we assume he was) was diverse in age, very interested and friendly, which allowed us non-Parisians to spend a great evening there drinking delicious wine. I would very much recommend the bar and would advise you to try one of his Carmenere's accompanied by camenbert."

"Had a lovely lunch at Le Paradis. I had 3 courses for 40 euros, but that was because I had the steak and it was definitely worth it. The staff were really helpful and service was nice a prompt even though it was quite busy. The food was great, along with the atmosphere. Would definitely eat there again."

"This is absolutely my most favorite restaurant in Paris. I went only for dinner and the food was so good I didn't want to eat anywhere else but I did because, well, I was in Paris and who eats at only one restaurant in Paris....But SEVERAL nights I went back to eat there. It is cozy and intimate. I believe it is English-friendly. I read in one of the other reviews that it has a limited wine list; it may be but the wine we had was outstanding. We let the owner choose our wine for us... no doubt she chose what she had but who cares, it paired with the meal faultlessly every single time. I highly recommend this restaurant; I can't wait to get back."

"The place, ambience and style, all excellent. We had our nine year old son with us and we all waited nearly an hour for our main course to be served. We didn’t make a fuss or kick off, we just waited patiently. When it finally...arrived, not a word, apology or excuse for the terrible wait. When it did arrive, my lobster ravioli was mushy and extremely underwhelming. My wife’s chicken supreme which was listed as coming with mashed potatoes came with pasta. To make matters worse, we left without my sons iPad and my wife’s cashmere pink scarf. We returned within five minutes and Magee to retrieve only the iPad, the scarf was gone, shameful. What a way to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday."
