"Four of us ate here mid week, two burgers and two ploughman and several beers. Food prices fine, but carlsberg at was dear! It was very quiet when we were there, but then again it was a winter midweek visit."

"I recently visited with my partner after just consuming a fry up. I had tried to visit before but it was closed so took the golden opportunity even though my stomach was pretty much full. I am so glad I did. Ran by a lovely lady and I believe her business partner, Holy Crepe is a wonderful addition to Plymouth market. I had the Nutella crepe to take away (which they offer! Bonus! It was well priced and was hot and lovely and delicious in my belly. I want more of it as I write this. Will definitely be returning soon and am so hopeful that the business survives in the market as it's a real find."

"Food is amazing. Chicken cooked to perfection, juicy, gluten-free, optional chilli or other sauces. The best chips, like French fries with a bit of skin, but so tasty. Cooked in olive oil? Both skin lovers and not keeners loved the chips. Basic but fresh salad...nice simple accompaniment. Gluten-free vinegar, salt and olive oil as condiments. Great bar. Recommend the (affordable) sangria was or Different sizes available) . Lovely, attentive service. Decor fun in a Portuguese /European way. Shop with Portuguese food at front of premises, tables tucked inside. Cafe area outside too. Will definitely return and try more dishes... With chips!! Surprised!"

"Met here for lunch with 3 friends on a Sat afternoon. Lovely service, great menu choice and reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend. Didn't feel rushed at all and we were there almost 3 hours."

"We’ve made many trips to this pub for dinner. It is a large pub with many rooms and outside dining. It was classed as a “gastro pub” and the prices were a little bit more to reflect this which we didn’t mind at all. The food used to be beautifully presented with lots of choice. There were always steaks, curries, pizzas etc. Their chips were to die for! The pub was always packed with diners and locals drinking. We were very disappointed last night as there was an extremely limited menu on a piece of paper only had basket meals for £10, a few starters (but no soup); 3 “specials” which we all had. Some of these were sold out. Two of us had pork belly with mash with 3 pieces of cabbage no other veg. The other 2 of us had salmon pasta with prawns only 3 prawns. There were only 3 desserts instead of 7 8, though admittedly they were cheaper. We had ice cream (tasteless and cheap), chocolate buttons that were hard and didn’t taste of chocolate. I would’ve been very happy with Cadbury’s. On top of all this, not a single person drinking all evening (from 7 9pm). There were only 2 other people having basket meals, plus another couple having a drink. Our evening was over by 9 pm when it now closes. Kings Arms needs to wake up and sort this out, as we certainly won’t be returning again as there is so much competition."
