"Our local friend suggested it and it was a perfect day for pho, as it's winter in Montréal. We sat in the front where we could watch traffic go by, btw the parking is in the back if you go or street parking. Staff was nice and gave us some product suggestions, like their fried ice cream for dessert or fried wontons for an appetizer, but we stuck to the staples. The spring rolls were really good, the cold rolls were fresh, but the sad chicken would have been sliced better, their peanut sauce was decent, but could have used some crushed but garnish or texture. Pho's arrived and the broth was nice, just a nice balanced clear broth with meats for the pho specials. For the price we paid, it was good bang for the dollar, would have lived some braised oxtail In it though, alas they didn't offer it. My friend always got the special spicy beef soup with braised beef, and it tasted like a tom yum paste with some curry/satay paste combined. Overall solid and quick pho, if you don't want to break the bank."

"Hi, I come here once or twice a week for the greatest beef pho I have ever tasted...the broth is incredibly good.Mai the owner always makes me feel welcome. There is a lunch special menu with various grilled meat variations with or without rolls...I love...the calm classical music)...A real treat!"

"This is an elegant clean restaurant with nice decor. The dishes Were well presented. My sister and I tried the « bo mon ». It was a bit expensive but it was worth and one portion was enough for The fried banana and pineapple...were also good."

"In a simple casual atmosphere there is really good Vietnamese foods: Tonkinese soup (Pho), fried rolls, meet with rice and a lot of other choices. The prices are really affordable. It is one of the best place if you have to stay in the area...for a couples of weeks and looking for a regular spot to eat. Really kindly staff, sweet spot! Highly recommended."

"I would just about come here for the service alone. The owners happy demeanor is somewhat infectious. Anyhoo.....needed some help interpreting the menu but ended up with a couple solid offerings including pho. Lots of other Viet choices in Montreal so I would try around elsewhere before coming back for a second visit."

"Wanted to try this restaurant on Victoria Ave. in Cote des Neiges because several family members have highly recommended it. So we drove in from West Island (Dorval) for a Friday lunch for two. Hoai Hiong certainly lived up to our expectations. Food was delicious...and service was prompt and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. We had the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio recommended by our waiter and this dish has just the right amount of rice noodles, veggies and pork or beef or chicken served in a bowl with a delicious sauce and spring rolls included. We also ordered a large Pho soup to take home. We did find a (free) street parking spot on Victoria only a half block away. There was some street construction in front (this is Montreal in the summer after all) but the owner said the construction will be completed in a week or so. We will certainly return to try some other dishes at this great little restaurant."

"So I decide I need Vietnamese beef with a spring roll and rice noodles....Not a good idea! The spring roll was ssssoooooo greasy, when you bit in it fat would spurt in your mouth...ew! The beef was like drywal , so dry....and flavorless....Noodles are all suck together and the salad has no dressing...Pretty crappy if you ask me...and I usuallyIke everything! So final verdict....I will not visit and I will not order from them again....."
