"I was surprised this location was still open after many others closed including the one closest to me in Camby. This location is larger than the one I've been to. It was 1:15 pm on a Tuesday so the dining rooms and bar were sparsely populated. I ordered the Fried Chicken Breast Sandwich with no mayo and added lettuce and tomato. I substituted the Rice Pilaf for their fries. The food was okay. The two sliced tomatoes could have been bigger and another leaf of lettuce would have been nice but I didn't leave hungry. The chicken was a big portion sticking way out of the bun. The rice was pretty good. My server was very attentive and brought out my check early like I asked so I could get going. I visited the restroom and it was really clean considering the lunch hour had just transpired. The floor was dry everywhere. The paper towel dispenser was stocked. Parking was no issue since there were plenty of spaces by the front door."

"They were friendly and efficient, but there was a foul sewage smell when you entered the restaurant, and didn't dissipate until we got closer to our table (the smell was still there when we left). The food is priced great with large portions, but both of our plates had lukewarm/cold food. For me, it was my biscuit and gravy (otherwise tasty) and for my husband, it was his hash browns cold and greasy. My fried potatoes were excellent crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We probably won't return since there are so many options in Bloomington, but it definitely isn't the worst place,either."

"If you are considering dining here, DO IT! We had driven past the Scenic View Restaurant at least a dozen times, each time saying ‘we should stop’. We finally did and WHY DID WE WAIT SO LONG!? The food was delicious! The wait staff was fantastic. We plan to go again during various seasons to see the beautiful view! You should stop and enjoy!"

"I have to say, we have never been disappointed when dining here (short of being able to get a table on a busy evening). Breakfast/Brunch is fantastic. This review however is about my most recent visit on 4/8/22 while dining at the bar. My beautiful bride (of 28 years tomorrow) and I always prefer to dine at the bar. The restaurant was busy, but seating at the bar was pretty open. The draft beer selection is somewhat limited, although well thought out and selected. I opted for the shiitake mushroom smash burger and fries, and was not disappointed. The burger was perfectly seasoned and prepared, and the mushroom, Swiss combination was fantastic on a nicely toasted potato bun. My wife was the beneficiary of what may be one of the best sandwiches Bloomington has the offer (this is my official nomination). The Flying Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich was a special item, and I am hopeful that it becomes a regular offering. The chicken was perfectly breaded, and seasoned. The chicken was presented in a perfectly toasted bun along with hand carved smoked ham, pineapple and cheese. Seriously, this is something that we lucked into ordering and would now return frequently to enjoy. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS SANDWICH. Kudos Southern Stone. Nice atmosphere, menu and service."
