"We were in our first night in bergamo and were looking for something typical Italian. we went up and down the road that we were on (not wanting too far in the first night scattered we spied there scapone (the actually those. near where we were. this place is open for four days, but the quality of the food is good for its future, and that of its patrons! we had a cheeseboard to start unusual in Britain, but highly recommended. the owner allowed me to take an element of an appetizer and to add it to a pasta dish to end with something not on the menu pappardelle with meatball and large nut sauce. brilliant! the garlauchbrot was the best of all time, and my partner pizza was brilliant. the house red wine is recommended (although there is a considerable wine list if they decide to be free). we finished the meal with an espresso, a few limoncellos and a part of a chocolate and mandel cake (that was rich and yet light). da scarpone is highly recommended and we wish this new restaurant the success it deserves."

"Sea food was not fresh. Service was slow and inaccurate. My shrimp risotto was stale, dense and stiff. There were 3 raw unfresh shrimps on top of the risotto which were the only thing in that dish resembling sea food. The dish had old sea food smell with greyish color. And it tasted like rotten fish. It was a mistake to even taste it. My sons dish was a pasta dish with red sauce. It was overcooked. But it was at least edible. When male waiter was busy and impolite. He didn't know much about the local wines, or may be he just didn't want to talk, or just plane impolite. I wouldn't go this place again."
