"My friend and I really enjoyed our lunch here today, the food was excellent (we had the mushroom and haloumi burger and the gnocchi) the staff were friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. Definitely recommend."

"Rating this cafe a 3.5 star. We got to this cafe at a busy time, so we were sat outside fairly quickly. The staff were friendly and took our coffee orders. There was already water on the table so we didn't need to ask. As it was a nice day, the cafe doors and windows were open so they could take orders for takeaway which was a nice touch to reduce the crowd inside. The food was quite average here to be honest, and the serving size was quite small for the price, compared to the other excellent cafes we've been to. I have to say that the presentation of the burger dish could have been a lot better, instead of a plate with the burger and chips mixed in together as you could see by the pic. I could forgive this if the cafe wasn't so highly rated but I expected a lot better in this area. We had the chicken sandwich and the beef burger with fries. The burger reminded me of a glorified Macca's cheese burger meal to be brutally honest; the meat patty was super thin with little to no taste. Its sauce wasn't special so it didn't carry the taste of the burger, and the bun was a bit dry (maybe because it's slightly toasted). And the fries that came with it lost some temperature by the time we received it. The coffees were average and importantly not watery. We had a latte and mocha, but maybe they could consider changing the cups they serve them in as it's quite hot to touch obviously; mugs would probably be good for summer and the cups good for winter."

"The service was poor, quite a bit of attitude from the tall chap that cooks the burgers. I would have forgiven it and considered going back if the burgers were amazing but unfortunately they were average. Drive 5-10 mins to Southland and go to Grill'd"

"Went here last march and ordered zinger burger in a meal.I also bought chocolate mousse.Its ok,if i would rate the chocolate mousse from 1 being the best and 5-poor,i would rate it 3.5.I absolutely like the zinger burger!I love it hot and spicy.The only thing...is the fries,it would be nice if its abit crunchy coz i like my fries crunchy but other than that its all good"

"I first reviewed The Parlor in 2014 and recently returend for breakfast with my son....to find that they have maintained their standards of service food and beverages.This eatery is i a great spot, just of the beaten track, so it is away from traffic and crowds etc: It is very popular and has good seating both inside and out.The coffee is really good and the breakfasts are of a good size and served quickly so you get good, warm food.This establishment is a family favourite for early date eating and beverages (coffee, tea hot chocolate etc)."

"It’s a pretty ordinary place, IMO. First, it’s not a restaurant so much as bistro. The tables are very close to each other and the place generally it has quite an unsettling closed in feel, I found. The prices are utterly absurd. $49 for a nice but fairly basic prawn cocktail entree. $179 (you read that right not $79, $179) for a main course lobster main. These dishes were good but a long way from justifying those prices. The wine options were ridiculously minimal. You could have knocked me over with a feather when they actually ran out of the white wine we chose. Service was OK on the night from the couple of younger servers who attended to us. Service was not OK from one of the older servers who was rather gruff and uninterested. I was lucky enough to have had my meal paid for by a friend. That softened the blow of coming here a little. I wouldn’t come here again. There are much better seafood restaurant options in Melbourne."
