"We have been coming here for over 10 years now, usually visiting 2-3 time a year. We have never had a bad meal or experience. The food and service has always been great and keep an eye out for room, meal and breakfast offers. There is occasional a bargain to be had!"

"We stopped here to eat lunch during the regatta, decided not to eat inside as the sandwiches were £15 ahead which is a bit pricey when you have a lot of kids with you. We ate from the burger/hot dog guys the seafood truck set up out front, both of which were excellent. Seemed like a friendly pub, the only issue was the 2 sets of different music playing continually outside the venue, (both from on the venue's site), I think you need to arrange/book your music to work so that your customers can listen to something, rather than struggling to hear something between 2 sets of music battling to be louder and heard."

"I came in yesterday for a meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. There were 14 of us (including 2 young children). We pre ordered our food as we were a large group. The food was served quick once we had all arrived and said we were ready. The food was delicious and home cooked. The staff were friendly and helpful, also attentive but not too much which was good. The menu is varied and reasonably priced, I've also been here for breakfast and would highly recommend."

"Great to go back and visit this place again with our local friends. It was very busy so service was a bit slow which we understood. The food was nice but some of us were a little disappointed about the salad replacing vegetables with our meals. We used to enjoy the veg serving and therefore it wasn’t as nice an experience for all. You can’t please everyone but overall it was still good and would recommend."

"Have been frequenting the church street tavern for a while now and sadly have to say that this place has really struggled to keep a good standard post lockdown. I went last Saturday with family for some drinks and tables are covered in used glasses...and staff seemed indifferent to clearing them. Slow service and long wait for drinks to arrive too. I understand they are currently short staffed but this has been an issue for a while and is not an excuse. Probably won’t return for a while now sadly. Better places nearby."
