"Nice place to visit. The owner is super nice, but getting food was challenging. We fish, and wanted to get some famous brisket sandwiches to take on the boat. Went there three times. 1045, unable to get sandwiches until 11 am. Disappointed, so sat down and ordered breakfast, took longer than expected. Went the next day. This time around lunch, we could still smell the brisket. We went up to the lady to order 4 brisket sandwiches, and she said they were closed.We loved this place and went back every day just for the atmosphere. It's a fisherman's paradise inside, lots of equipment. We love to support local."

"Everglades City’s and probably one of Florida’s most unique steps back in history. Founded in 1864, the interior hasn’t seemed to change since then. The waitress was a local from Chokoloskee, Fl., who was excellent and informative. The food was excellent and served piping hot. We both had Grouper, and it was some of the best we’ve ever had. The desert was either strawberry short cake or key lime pi’s. We opted for the strawberry short cake and it was great. Definitely a must see and visit. Truly Florida’s hidden secret."

"My Girlfriend and I had the pleasure of dining at The Everglades Adventure Center today. We had a late lunch! What a magnificent spot! Right on the water in the heart of Everglades City! The best view, the best food, great prices and and relaxing dining experience that is second to none. I had the Fried Chicken Buffet (which is only available for Sunday Lunch apparently. This is traditional southern style home cooking at its best! The chicken was moist and tender (not greasy and all the side dishes were some of the best tasting fixins East or West of Alligator Ally I have ever had (compete with homemade dessert. A great Value and a great price in my opinion! My Girlfriend had a Glass of wine and the Shrimp Caesar Salad. Now when it comes to Salads there is nobody more picky than MY girlfriend. The greens MUST be fresh, the Croutons MUST be crispy and the dressing MUST have the right kick to it. She told me it was one of the freshest, best tasting Salads she had ever had. The shrimps were large and prepared well (not overcooked or dried out. Service was very good! The place is kept very clean! They had a friendly staff an there was plenty of free parking! We stayed and admired the peaceful view for almost an hour after our meal. It 's a view and outdoor dining area/deck that is right out of a magazine! There were many, many other great dishes to choose from all at fair prices. They have a full bar and indoor dining (although we prefer outside as well. We were told this location was recently renovated/remodeled and put under new ownership. Its a great place to dine, relax and enjoy the best view in town! I highly recommend you try this rare find! It will be an experience like no other!"

"This is a neat and funky place, a combination fish market and seafood restaurant. You eat outside on their covered dock, on picnic tables right by the water. You get to watch boats come and go as you chow down on crab, shrimp, scallops, grouper, etc. Most meals are under $10 and well worth it. Try the shrimp basket — they give you a lot! You order and pick up your food at the window, so tipping is strictly optional."

"Good Eats here on a New Year’s Day. Stopped by on bikes for lunch. Our waiter recommended the shrimp tacos over the shrimp po boy. Good recommendation! I had them blackened with lettuce and tomato but without cheese. A tasty spicy sauce rounded out the two tacos. Served with crisp fries too. Not a large lunch but tasty!"

"It was a charming little place that had average food that was overpriced. The wait staff was friendly for the most part. There were three servers, so it was hard to know which one was ours. One server asked if we needed anything else and my husband wanted a refill to which she directed us to the self-serve drink area rather than getting him one. Hard to know whether to tip when all the staff does is bring out the food."
