"I hate leaving bad reviews. But I'm sorry this was just not good. Decided to try this as I saw it pop up on uber eats. The food is very bland. We eat indian food a lot my husband comes from an indian family so i know good indian food . We had to add salt and our own curry spices. The portions were small. I'll stick to the places I always order from . It's too bad..the menu sounded good ..but every single dish we ordered was a waste ."

"Authentic Greek cuisine featured on 'You Gotta Eat Here '. We were greeted by friendly smiling staff who sat us promptly. Ordered the Tzatziki starter. Home made, fresh dip with garlic bread. Fresh cucumber with just the right amount of garlic however I wish they had strained the cucumber a little more as the dip was a tiny bit too watery. With that said, the freshness made up for it. We ordered the Gyro plate and the shrimp plate as our mains. Both plates came with a healthy portion of meat, potatoes, rice, pita, and an orange wedge with a small container of Tzatziki. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The gyro was a bit dry and too salty for my liking but was still enjoyable. To be honest, I think I got the outer crust of a new batch. Potatoes were excellent. Rice was fantastic. Pita should have been served on the side but was buried between the meat and rice. The orange wedge didn 't quite understand that. Geometrically, the presentation was a little lopsided but who cares. It tasted good enough. The restaurant was clean, busy and authentic. The staff were super friendly and responsive. The service was excellent in my opinion. Would definitely repeat if we were in the area."

"I have never given a bad review before, this is my first and very worthy of my time so that I can let everyone know of the horrible experience I had last night. I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years. I would tell...everyone that Bansaree was the best Indian Food place around. Ive eaten at several different places, in several different cities and provinces...I know my Indian food. Sure, the place is a bit old and run down and could use some updating, but the food was always great and the staff was always friendly. I have talked with the owner (or manager, not sure) many many times, always singing my praises as a loyal customer would. Well, that all changed last night in an experience that I would call nothing short of cheap and rude. I ordered my usual at 7:05pm and was told that it would not be more than an hour. I've had multiple experiences with them in the past, so I expected the one hour to be pushed and was prepared for it (see, loyal customer). At 8:25pm, I called to find out when my food would arrive and I was told that it was already on the way to my place and the guy said he was going to call the driver to see where he was. I called back again at 8:33pm and this time the owner answered the phone and told me that the driver had just arrived to his place and that the food was just coming out of the oven....adding that it would still be hot when it got to me. I asked him to explain why his staff had informed me that the food was already on its way when it was not and his response was less than professional. He informed me that the conversation didn't happen and that I was in fact NOT told that the food was already on the way to me. I argued this point and he went on to say that his staff member does not know the kitchen and could not have told me that it was on its way. I informed him that this was not my problem and asked him for a discount on the food that would be pushing 2 hours from the time I ordered it to when I was going to receive it. Here is where it gets really interesting....the owner told me that he already gave me a deal, that my order was already discounted to $50. I called him on his bs, told him that the original price of the order was $50 and accused him of being dishonest and making it seem like he gave me a deal when he wasn't. So he offered me a $2 discount...$2 off for waiting nearly 2 hours to eat? Are you F'in kidding me? I told him that wouldn't do and I told him I wanted $10 off, for not only having to wait but for the ridiculous conversation of lies that wasted my time. I explaining that I've been a loyal customer for a long time and he should do right by his customers. He told me that he would not take the $10 off and increased his lame $2 discount to $5.....so I told him to just hurry up and send the food and ended the call. Why I didn't cancel it at this point is beyond me. So the driver shows up at my place and as soon as I opened the door he immediately started explaining the situation because he obviously did not want to be blamed for the lateness. We had a nice chat, I told him that I knew it wasn't his fault but that I was not tipping him for this long of a wait and offered to tip him the next time he came, as he has come here before on other orders. I handed the driver $40 cash and he gave me my food. Then about 10 minutes later, Bansaree called my phone a few times, likely to complain that I short changed the driver, but I sent him to my lullaby singing minions answering machine....I hope he enjoyed the calming music. Many years in the service industry, I have never and would never treat a customer this way. I have also never short changed a bill and usually tip 20% or more for good service, so for me to make the decision to discount my meal $10 means that I was really mistreated. To the owner of Bansaree, you lost a loyal customer and I will make sure to tell everyone about this horrible experience, one that you chose not to make right. Was all this worth it to you for a measly $10? Shame on you."

"Had dinner with three friends and the bill was over 100 bucks, before tip, for fish and chips. The food was fine and the portions were okay. The table / chairs / and the menu all were sticky and needed a good cleaning. The dinners came at the same time as the salads - and we never saw the waitress again until we waved someone else for the cheque. Lots of other places for fish and chips - We will be checking some of them out."

"I've been going to Lakeport Fish and Chips for many years but recently they changed their chips from unsalted to salty yet no one in my family likes salty chips. When I politely asked if I could have my chips unsalted they said no. So...now I go to another fish and chip shop, Beamsville, near where I live, and get my unsalted chips from there. What's great is that they offer to salt them if you so desire. So you can have them either way. But when I asked Lakeport if they'd do this they refused. Very disappointing."
