"Super intimate setting. Cocktails were amazing. We had the El Johnny Poncho, a sidecar, El Pelican and the El Vuelve la vida. All the apps had a generic title but had some kind of Mediterranean spin on them and were super delicious. Had the pork and chicken, how they transformed something so common and made it so juicy and tasty shows the talent of the chef. Great place for a date!"

"We went there because of the good reviews online. However, it was definitely overpriced for its quality. We wondered if it were boiled meat rather than bbq. I wasn't gonna say anything but I kept getting these emails from the restaurant to give a review on tripadvisor. so here it is."

"For full disclosure, the owner Tony is my fiancée. I've been eating here almost every night. It's an inviting environment in the middle of West Queen West fashion stores. Street Shak is a fast casual restaurant with dishes inspired by many of the islands in the Caribbean. The food is freshly prepared and I love the fish cakes & bakes, jerk chicken sandwich, salads, jerk chicken, mango-jalapeno wings...okay I love it all. Added some photos. Come on in and try it!"

"I visited Albert's based on my friends recommendation. He used to visit frequently years ago however; we were both very disappointed. We both ordered the curry chicken. The chicken had little flavour. Although we received our food quickly the server was not friendly. The woman who took our order paid more attention to the TV (CP 24) than to us. We felt like we were interrupting her. Albert's does not take credit cards or debit so bring cash. I would skip this place. Too many other places to go that have good food and good service."

"It's always a bit scary entering an old favourite - but when we went to bacchus after 6 years we weren't disappointed. When I was expecting my now 14 yr old my husband used to travel from East Toronto to Parkdale to satisfy my cravings. I was introduced to roti - and bacchus 20 years ago and have never had better. I always order the veggie - spinach, green bean and potato was my standard. I was disappointed this time that they were out of green beans but I followed my husband's lead and subbed in sweet potato. I actually preferred it. I like it hot, and hot it was. The roti bread is substantial and awesome as always. I don't delude myself into thinking this is a healthy meal but still a fantastic treat and on returning to Toronto still my go-to roti. Love it."
