"I'd love to be feeling more generous here but 2 stars are about as much as I can muster. Left waiting to order we eventually went to counter. Our table was eventually set by two boys who seemed half asleep and very disinterested. The food quality had dropped quite a bit since I'd been here 2 years ago. The flat coke lemon lime bitters seemed to reflect this restaurant perfectly."

"Came here on a Saturday night with 3 others for a birthday celebration. We were shown to our pre-booked table and a drinks menu and water was offered immediately followed by the dinner menu. Surprisingly there were no blackboard specials on offer. The menu was not extensive with 4 pasta dishes, 2 fish and a lamb rump and 1 other to pick from as well as a few entrees. Also 4 desserts to choose from. No breads but each diner was given one of their in-house fresh baked bread rolls, which were nice. The 4 of us each had a different pasta, which we all enjoyed very much as this restaurant specialises in fresh ingredients and makes all the pasta etc. We tried 2 of the desserts - the chocolate pudding and salted caramel balls. They were both unique to Sprout but I didn't feel they were worth $14- each. The pastas were entree size $17- / main $26-. The wine was a bit expensive and there were few on offer by the glass. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious but our night was a bit let down by the very noisy environment, even though it was only about 75% full. Recommend you don't come here for an intimate dinner or if you can't climb stairs as there are quite a few of them to get you to the restaurant on the second level of the Crown and Anchor hotel."

"A 50. birthday dinner could have only three things to host yourself; one is the family they have that supports his self-esteem and a family man, two is of course money when you eat from your own choice and three... come to a beautiful restaurant like Il Grifone to give you the high quality of appreciation with Italian food. Unfortunately, people often leave bad reviews because of the spread of the word, but now I feel that as soon as I visited and ate in Il Grifone, it changed my whole attitude! We ordered a delicious bunch of broschettas and garlic breads that had the flavors (and oils) to make your mouthwater, then we had the beautiful, light, soft pillows like bowl gnocchi, which was absolutely beautiful with tomato sauce, basil and mozzarella. We also had the Barramundi, which was absolutely the best fish we have ever dug in our mouth, the seafood spaghetti took the best approach when it comes to eating an Italian dish with a wealth of seafood. The most delicious, most mouthwatering thing of all... was the beautiful Tiramisu, it had everything you expect in a normal birthday cake and it on the head to a beautiful cake. The last thing I want to say is that Il Grifone is the best place to go for any occasion, Christmas, Easter, Bastille Day, Anzac Day and all the holidays in the world can celebrate by visiting and filling out the tables and chairs in Il Grifone."
