"The upstairs bar and restaurant is a nice spot for a lunch, I've eaten there many times. Recently, I ordered a tempura battered fish burger which comes with potato wedge style chips. The bun was over toasted and had a few bitter tasting burnt patches but the rest was good. I think the portion sizes on chips are too high at the moment. They are nice but we left some and we saw plenty of other plates with leftover chips on them. My friend noted the dish would be better with half the chips swapped for a simple side salad. There were a lot of tables not being cleared when we arrived but we did hit the busiest time. I think after 9pm you need to have a cinema ticket or be a member to drink here. The cafe on the ground floor seems to have more food now it had got a bit sparse during some parts of the Covid era. Beware of the occasional wobbly table. Spinning them around slightly may prevent wobble and associated coffee spill catastrophes. For the cinema, Screen 1 is one of the few great screens left in London, well worth a visit just for the Dolby ATMOS sound."

"Horrible experience. Lunch time very busy. We did not have a reservation, so had to wait 40 minutes for a table, but sat at the bar and ordered drinks whilst waiting. Kiyah took our order and had great customer service and waiting. 5 to her. I ordered an oyster which was tasty and different and b and l combo- chips and lobster tasted good with the Holy F k spicy sauce, salad was yummy spinach, dried beetroot and parmesan with pomegranate sauce) but the burger was not great. Upstairs was clean, toilet was downstairs alot of stairs to get to it), one toilet was leaking and the rest was clean. After I had two bites into the burger i started to feel hot, sweating belly hurting and nauseous. I had to run to the toilet to vomit. Asked to speak to the manager Ramya and she was adamant it was NOT the food and it was what I ate at home. Was not sympathetic to even offer water just the ambulance to cover themselves and was only talking about the temperatures and standards of all the foods and how many branches there are. As seeing from the amount of reviews I have done I go out to eat alot and have never experienced this in my life. Very disappointed that I spent all that money £56) on a meal with drinks and leaving unsatisfied and sick. Table spent £299"

"Had a great night here! First of all, the service is fantastic where we served by a guy named Ben, us through some of the dishes on the menu when we were asking and was super attentive when the food came out, it was amazing, well presented and even more important absolutely delicious, the venue was busy, but we felt good looking and they had time for us! Fondue was 11 out of 10 and drinks exceed expectations! Win our whole group a fantastic night and definitely be back to try some more dishes on the menu"

"During a family trip to the Monument, my children needed a call a nature. So we popped into the Hydrant and asked to use their bathroom- this was not a problem at all. It was at this time that we saw the...menu on the wall and said how nice the place was. So decided to go back for lunch, once we’d taken our photos around the attraction. Personally I thought the menu was small, but thinking about it now perfectly adequate for what we were looking for. We ordered two fish finger sandwiches and a club sandwich children) along with four soft drinks. The food was absolutely delicious and plenty to fill us all up. Considering the location we didn’t feel it was badly priced for what we had and would most definitely like to return."

"I 've always had a high regard for 'Il Posto ', but standards have fallen. We were served three (modestly sized) pieces of garlic bread. My host said: 'So are we supposed to cut one of them in half? ' After his protest we did eventually get a fourth one. Then the wine no wine list offered. Asked for Frascati a standard Italian wine. Don 't have. Made another suggestion don 't have. Okay they did come up with something acceptable. Food was actually fine, but this kind of 'don 't have ' (as though it 's your fault for asking) is totally unlike my past happy experiences."
