"We are from Asheville, which is a foodie town for sure. Kate's is totally comparable to some of the fine dining in Asheville. Everything is incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, tasty. Just an amazing little cafe that prides itself on great attention to detail. Kate is friendly and watching over the business making sure everything is perfect. We had 3 breakfasts there when we were in town. We just kept going back for yet another fabulous meal. The quiche was so amazing. The crust was unusual, and the inside was creamy and delicious. Coffee is top notch. The fruit is so fresh the last morning I had to add a side of fruit. The little side salad included with some breakfasts was crisp and fresh with wonderful dressing. You have to go to Kate's!!!!"

"I love the gluten free pizza here but beware- it is all cooked in the same over as the normal pizza on the same stone. I have had an issue once but other than that it seems to be ok. Just be careful if you're highly sensitive."

"We had a wonderful meal here, and the staff was accommodating for my child who is gluten and corn intolerant. The waitstaff is very knowledgeable and went through the menu, explaining what they could make and how it would be prepared. There are a number of options, from appetizers to salads to pizza and entrees. We will definitely be back!"

"Okay, let's talk about safety and food. My wife, who is celiac, has a hummus veggie sandwich with gluten-free bread. It came with chips and she got an orange seasoned tea. She said it was okay and that's it. The staff seemed to be understandable about GF, but I'm not sure. Now for the bad part. The theme was Edgar Allen Poe and it was cool, but just a kind of theme. We had to choose our own seats and the bartender told me they had found one. I wanted to grab it, and this guy called me to save him. He later found out that this was the owner and he was rude. We have a place on a balcony and these two children ran around. The boy spit twice from the balcony. For the second time, I called him and guess what? They were the owners. I told him and he took the kids away and didn't even say sorry or the people who saw it. I knew that was the owner because I saw a news article on the wall. So my wife and I drove half an hour to check this place and it's not worth going back."
