"We pushed on through the misty rain after a night near Woywoy, relieved to be off the freeway and read reviews for two lunch spots in Stroud. Ma Bakers sounded good for a coeliac but husband had his mouth watering for the Hamburger. As the businesses were next door to each other I contemplated trying the gluten free wrap at one table and the burger next door. However it was a bit miserable outside so in we went. So many signs it was a bit mind boggling so I ordered the plain burger and then asked about gluten free. "Yes"said Barry. "You could have the burger. Not sure about the soup." With that Linda was out of the kitchen for a long chat, thinking about all the ingredients.. .no artificial stocks, no thickeners....eventually deciding I had a choice of three out of four. With two slices of gf toast on the side I was a happy woman. While we waited a young couple and baby sat down and the elegantly dressed and bejeweled lady in the window armchair chatted and entertained them for the next twenty minutes! Another small boy came in for a cuddle with her. Linda's mother I think and wonderful country friendliness. And the food? Fish chowder was great and the burger ticked all the boxes. Well priced."

"Had dinner at Li 'l Darlin recently with friends. First thing I noticed was the cold. The restaurant had either little or no heating (it was freezing outside), and it didn 't help that the front door was frequently left open, with a fresh 'arctic ' breeze coming through. The service was ok, but the food was average, the portions small, and it was quite pricey. Also, something in the food had left a terrible after taste in my mouth all night (not garlic); my husband kept asking: what had I eaten?! I ate so little, so whatever it was must have been really potent. Sorry Li 'l Darlin I won 't be back."

"Lebanon and Beyond is a cozy Lebanese restaurant housed in an art-deco building. They offer a range of traditional Lebanese dishes including lamb kofta, felafel and their famous garlic skewered chicken.<br>

I tried their skewered chicken and spinach pie on my visit last night. On the one hand, The chicken fillet/breast are marinated with paprika and grilled on a skewer. Juicy and tender, they are appetizing and delectable. On the other hand, the spinach pie was a little disappointing. The acidity of the sour marinate overwhelms the natural texture and flavour of spinach."

"This shop does Pizza on a industrial scale for delivery. The pizzas are OK and the restaurant is more like a canteen. It is reasonably prized but is appropriate. Good for if you are hungry and just want a fill up."

"Bought a cake today from here and it was delicious. The Red Velvet cake was moist, wasn't sickly sweet and the jelly topping was a great addition. It was great each of the cakes came in different sizes as I only wanted a small one. They had a selection of treats in their other cabinets. Will definitely be back for more."
