"Sunday lunch with visiting family. The food wasn’t as quite good as I remember from last year and our table of 3 seemed to be served exactly the same quantity of vegetables as an adjoining table of 2. Only one serving spoon for the vegetables really wasn’t sufficient. The service was ok but lacking in any friendliness or warmth. None of the waitresses even managed a smile at any point during our visit. We have dined twice in the past month and I’m not sure I will be rushing back."

"A massive thank you to Dave, Janine and staff for a fantastic welcome and incredible generosity today for our walk to mark Bridgend Samaritans 50th Anniversary. After breakfast the walkers set off with Chris Jones to Dunraven Bay, St Brides and Ogmore Castle and returned to an unexpected, but very much appreciated, lunch. Everyone had an enjoyable time and we are indebted to you for your thoughtfulness and kindness. Diolch yn fawr!"

"Collected my bike that had been repaired in the week and decided to get a coffee while I was there. Good flat white and friendly helpful owner. They also sell some cycling gear and art work. Lovely little place"

"Set on the outskirts of lower penarth this pub has been very quiet each time I've visited although they are trying with daily events such as free pool night and open mic night, staff have been very friendly on each of my visits and although I've not eaten there the food has a very good local name Service: 4 Location: 3 Hotel highlights: Quiet"
