"I was surprised to find ourselves the only non-Asian/Asian Canadians in the place, which was fairly busy. The food was quite good, with big portions. Had a great eggplant dish, as well as other things. The service was not inspiring. They did not come to ask if we wanted more drinks etc. The decor is ok. Would easily come back for lunch or dinner."

"We have eaten here on many occassions & have brought some family members and the food has always been very hot & plentyful.Staff very friendly.if anyone is looking for an elegant setting with any buffet then you have not visited a buffet restaurant.this buffet is kept clean as best as they can with the amount of customers coming through the door."

"9.25 for Bun Thap Cam vermicelli rice noodles with lettuce, bean sprouts, carrot, grilled marinated pork, spring roll, some sort of flat pork ball a few slices of a spicy pork hash . It 's my favorite lighter dish to try to see how it...is done. They did a solid job with this dish. Some places give less meat, more vegs, but this had a lot of meat. A mild sweet sour fish sauce. Prices are very good for quality and amount of food. Generous off street parking! The menu is large. The place is better than a hole in the wall but not flashy. A decent neighborhood restaurant with good homey vibes. Pop music playing but not blaring. Clean, even the menus. Diners were happy service was fast polite. Diners included several tables of Vietnamese men who seemed there for lunch break, a few college aged Vietnamese young men, three older to elderly white haired Caucasian ladies, a young Caucasian couple my 50+ self. I had hot Chinese green tea with my meal Vietnamese iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk to go (dessert for me). I 'm going to come back soon bring a friend."

"For the past while the sushi has not been close to the quality of what I had been getting for a long while, and the prices have gone up yet the rolls are smaller. Time to look elsewhere! Not sure what changed but a noticeable difference!"

"We made a long trek to try out Sushi N based only because of the rave reviews we have seen on this nice little place. Not sure what all the reviewers are using as comparisons, but the performance of Sushi N does not approach the extremely high ratings thrown down by previous customers.Located on the corner space of a large shopping mall parking lot provides easy access and more than adequate parking. Big benefit over some urban locations that offer less than acceptable parking opportunities.Decor is quite sparse but speaks to the Japanese style. The background music is very disjointed and rather off putting unless punk/rap is your style. Not sure who is choosing the tunes but it can't be anyone over 14 years old. Service was slim during our visit but this may be enhanced during the dinner hours, at least I hope so because our server was doing an excellent job but the rush was just more than one person could possibly handle effectively. Menus are beautifully done with great discussions about the various food options. Really, really nicely done and even a few tasteful pictures tossed in to build further interest. Enough whining about the unimportant issues; how about the food. Well, there was no recovery based on what we ordered. The seafood options were fine but fine just doesn't make this a local leader in the Sushi category. Nothing was sparkling or differentiated from every other average sushi and sushi-wannabe in this town. We ordered a wide selection of offerings and every one was completely comfortable in the company each other. There was no standouts and, graciously, not losers either. Everything scored average when compared to a dozen other places. The sushi chef is clearly a master and produced orders with great efficiency with each being the work of a professional. So the problem is what? Quality, age, or condition of ingredients? Certainly not the decor, service, professional ability so maybe it was just the music that degraded our experience.The quest continues for Winnipeg's finest sushi. Unfortunately, we now have to be very selective in which food reporters we can trust for our next choice to sample."
