"What slightly irritated me was that they charge premium but give you low quality food. Even though, the staff seemed nice enough....I don't go out to eat to make friends.Why pretend to be a high end trendy brunch place and charge $20 per plate, when you can just rock serving good-old-fashioned grub grill scrapes and charge half that...and own it! Own what you do, stand up for it and be true to who you are. Ok...maybe I'm taking this a bit too seriously, but that's how it felt.The Greek Benny.Well. I didn't taste any feta at all. I asked for medium poached and got soft, and speaking of soft....the hash browns were soft and old instead of fresh and crispy. The two english muffins were sitting in a puddle of sauce. Guess what happens when you dip bread in sauce...it becomes what?.....Soggy.So, I had sauce underneath and on top of the english muffin and it tasted like I was having egg yolk sponge for breakfast.The French toast was just very very average definitely not worth the price point.I think the whole experience was more of a surprise than anything.It's like if you see a little girl selling lemonades on her street and after she hands you a cup....it's $25 please Sir!Cute. Yes.Trying. Maybe.But a rip off? Definitely."

"The service was so slow! It wasn 't even a busy afternoon. There were two waitresses and they were both absent minded. When I looked for my waitress, she was just chatting with the other waitress. I saw her scan the room and completely didn 't see me. I held my hand up and she still didn 't see me. Usually you don 't need to say Excuse me across the room to get a server 's attention. She never checked in during the meal either. I ordered online recently and it was also slow. They were one hour late and forgot the cheese. It was 9:30pm when our good arrived! After these two bad experiences, I am hesitant to revisit. I wanted to support an old local business, but it just isn 't worth it. Old decor and terrible music too."

"Not my choice for poke, would not recommend this place, especially with so many great poke options in Vancouver! I took my boyfriend here because we didn't want to go into downtown, I was really disappointed because it was his first poke experience, and they were really stinjy with their portions and toppings. They only give you 3 or 4 toppings for free, they charge for extras that should be basic and barely give you a scoop of tuna/salmon. The server actually filled a scoop up and took some out of it because it seemed too full... okay? Luckily I took my bf to the Poke Guy on Richards and now he knows why I'm obsessed with poke!My advice: walk/drive/bike the few extra mins to the Poke Guy on Richards, unlimited toppings, generous scoops... you won't be disappointed!!"

"I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this place. The food is unique and deliberate... I would say masterful. The service is very professional. The atmosphere is upscale and the prices are too, but this might be the nicest vegan eatery in Western Canada. I hope to return!"

"I've been here for three years. they have a great breakfast in the offer. Previously he went to slickity jim’s on main and discovered this place right at me. they offer a small salad with their breakfast, good roasted yams and kartoffels and a very good coffee to boot! they only pull back to come when they arrive at sat or sun tomorrow after 10:00. the service here is in order. I have read a complaint in the west ender timeung in vancouver, but they really try to help them. it is not vegetarian, however, so my kosher abiding husband cannot eat here..boo hoo!"

"We stopped into the Beagle after work one day for drinks and an early dinner....I had a Ceasar, my husband ordered a beer. Just a nice relaxing spot to chat with each other before the night crowd starts to trickle in. We were offered the dinner menu and were a little disappointed to see it had changed. We usually order the sliders which were really good. However, they are no longer available.We tried the calamari and order a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The calamari was good, though portion very small for the price. Then came the pizza. Disappointing. Described as loaded with mushrooms and pepperoni was a bit of a stretch. The center of the pizza soggy and over loaded with sauce. Oh well.. our server was nice...and we enjoyed our drinks.We did see the table beside us order nachos, and the portion was huge, so that seems like something that would be great to share and good value. All in all, it is one of our locals, and does have a good patio being as spring is coming. I'm sure we'll go back, just hope they do something to improve their kitchen offerings."
